Best Soul Food in the neighborhood. My boyfriend and I stopped in at Melody Soul Food to see how the food was and I must say it was great . We ordered the smothered chicken with greens mac and cheeze red and the beans and rice. Every single bite was just great . The plate was of great size.I was impressed I must say they will definitely see us there again. Peach cobbler ....YUM. We left there completely satisfied.

Flavorful, Healthy food with Grrrreeeeaaatttt Service. A hidden gem this restaurant is. Mainly because I couldn't find it anywhere where I typically look when making dining decisions. I guess the fact that they are new to the community has to do with not finding it. However, I was in Pasadena last week, and I came into the restaurant for a different purpose other than to eat. Susie, the owner greeted me with such a smile and friendliness that even though I had to go somewhere right away, when I got hungry I made my way back to Melody to sample the food since the service was just incredible. And what do you know? I had the hummus (mmmmmmmmmm!!!!) and chips that were to die for, and then Susie suggested some chicken dish which I with rice and salad, and another small portion of hummus. I am typically conciencious (sp) of what I eat since I am watching my figure, but when I get as hungry as I was, I don't necessarily pay attention to the calories. However, Mediterranean dishes are mostly grilled, and the herbs they use are healthy for you (did you know that? ... I DIDN'T!). I have to tell you, I ate one of the most delicious grilled chicken cabob I've ever had. That along with the great service, I truly couldn't ask for more. I was thoughroughly satisfied and vow to come back as often as I can. I don't live in Pasadena so it's a bit of a drive to come back, but it is sooooo worth it that when I come back, I'll be sure to treat family and friends to a truly fullfilling, delicious fining experience. In fact, my boyfriend's birthday is coming up and we're definitely bringing the party to Melody since they do let you have your special event there. IF YOU'RE IN PASADENA, TREAT YOURSELF TO MELODY'S GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE. You're worth it.
