Incredilbe!! A truly enjoyable and flavorful Italian dinner!!

So, I've been hearing about this restaurant for a while now and I finally tried it...WELL!!! It's true, it was incredible!!

My date and I shared a bottle of the Mirassou and started with the Calamari Fritti, which was some of the best I've had, perfectly crispy and not oily like in most restaurants. I then enjoyed a Penna al Forno which was full of robust flavors and the pasta was perfectly cooked. My friend ordered the Pesto Ahi which was incredibly presented and I had a bite (then another) which melted in my mouth. The tuna was very frsh and perfectly, perfectly cooked. The ambiance was warm and inviting and the whole time I felt like I was at a friend's house having dinner. This is Silverlakes's gem when it comes to Italian food!! It was one of those dinner experiences that you truly relish and when the check arrived..the enjoyment continued. Definitely an incredible dinner experience!

• Pros: the ambience..very cozy and romantic; delicious Italian fare; nice wine selection.
• Cons: none that I can think of.

Great neighborhood place!

I wanted a tasty meal but I didn't want to have to go too far. I walked down to this new restaurant, which was the old Giannino's, and it was so fun and so delicious! I had the Fettuccine con Salsicce and my friend had the Ahi Tuna special and both were very good and full of flavor. This is my new neighborhood place, where I can go 3 or 4 times a week. Fritzie's is just what I needed!
