What People Are Saying About Yogo Tango Highland

In Short – Frozen yogurt shops are plentiful in SoCal, but this stark Lo-Cal spot has something the others don't--fruit flavors. Peach, strawberry and blueberry varieties get mouths watering, while chocolate, vanilla, green tea and plain seal the deal. For the adventurous, there's a daring tomato option, whose aftertaste deserves a warning. Cups get weighed before and after toppings--fresh fruits, nuts and kiddie cereal--are added, so diners only pay a lot if they add a lot.

Best-Kept Frozen Yogurt Secret in L.A.

If you like frozen yogurt that actually tastes like frozen yogurt, as opposed to low-fat ice cream, then Yogo Tango is the place for you. Located in a strip mall on the corner of Highland and Fountain in Hollywood, this place is easy to get to, has ample parking, and doesn't have the long lines that you'll often find at the major frozen yogurt chains. The interior is clean, bright, and more spacious than most other frozen yogurt places that I've been to. Personally, I think Yogo Tango has better frozen yogurt than Pinkberry (overpriced) or Yogurtland (too creamy). It's light, tart, and refreshing. They offer multiple flavors (green tea, blueberry, vanilla, etc.), but plain is the best. What really sets Yogo Tango apart from the other frozen yogurt places is that they have great cookies that taste homemade. Try their chocolate chip cookies, which are a cross between shortbread and traditional chocolate chip cookies.
- Pros: Easy parking, great frozen yogurt and cookies
- Cons: Non-descript location
