Best Thai Food EVER!!!

(This is my first review!) My husband and myself live in Monterey Park and have a passion for good Thai food. We discovered Orchid at their old location on Atlantic Blvd and we both completely fell in love. We were absolute regulars... then there was a fire and they were forced to move. We were at a loss as to where to go that would "replace" Orchid. After searching and tasting Thai cuisine all over town we have come up empty. No place around compares to Orchid. This weekend my husband and myself took the time to drive up to the new location in Arcadia (which is totally not that far!) and we fell in love all over again. We decided that it is absolutely worth driving the extra 5 or so miles to eat such wonderful Thai food. Some of our favorite dishes: Panang, Red Curry, Tom Yum Kai, Chinese Brocolli with Salted Fish, Pad Woon Sen and House Special Chicken. Yum, Yum, Yum!! If you like Thai food you will not be disappointed by Orchid. It is not to be missed!!!

• Pros: Wonderful owners and staff. Anything you need, just ask and they will provide.
• Cons: A bit loud.

Best Local Thai Place

My dad loves Thai food as do I. I wanted to take him to a new place I came across the Orchid Thai Cuisin it was an excellent choice. The food was super delicious one of the things I like the most is that the food is not super greasy like most of the other Thai places. The staff is very friendly I recommend seating at the bigger tables because once you order the first dish & realize how great it is. You will continue ordering more food.

• Cons: After you get your food the staff can foget you're there. You need to waive them down.

Best Thai Food Around!

This is a great restaurant! When I first walked in, the atmosphere was just great, perfectly mellow and quiet. The waiters were nice, offering different specials and serving politely. The food was awesome, I especially loved the crab fried rice and the house special. The flavors combined well and the rice was cooked the way I wanted. The beef in the house special was tender and moist and bursting with flavor. The Jasmine Milk Tea was a great refreshment to go along with the tasty food and the Thai Tea was one of the best i've had. The prices were all affordable and suiting for each dish. Nothing was overpriced and it was definitely money worth spent. Orchid was a fine place to grab a delicious bite and drink and I loved it. 5 stars!

Excellent Thai food, fine atmosphere, great prices

The food here is flavorfull, prepared with quality ingredients and not too salty or greasy as you find in so many Thai restaurants. It is also not too hot and you can control the heat level. The menu here has nothing out of the ordinary but the food is just high quality and has a level of refinement that you would not expect to find for the price. Lunch is a bargin with specials around $7. The atmosphere is spacious, with soothing colors and twinkly lights on the ceiling. I have eaten alot of Thai food and this is one of the best. Highly recommended.
