What People Are Saying About S Bar

In Short – Renderings of Versailles mixed with a hodgepodge of richly colored couches and chairs give this tiny space a bohemian vibe. While star-power sisters Hyde and Area are heavy on exclusivity, the lack of bottle service or VIP areas have well-dressed nearby loft-dwellers mixing with the paparazzi-prone. Just as eclectic are the DJ's music choices--Silversun Pickups to Kanye West--and a house drink menu that runs from the vodka-infused Celery Superstar with chili pepper to the gin-and-honey Bees Knees.

The decor is very bohemian inspired and surreal. The door can be pretty rough sometimes (which makes for the right people getting in). S bar is a cozy spot...the size makes it a very intimate experience. Emphasis is on quality here... I always like a place where my drinks are served in high end glassware. The DJ booth is close to the bar so you can request your favorite song depending on the theme of the night. i promote this club on certain hot nights. For guestlist consideration send me an email w/ "S bar guestlist" in the subject, how many people in your party, a myspace/facebook link and contact info for me to get back to you my email is cjatthedoor@gmail com
- Pros: classy, intimate, glassware
- Cons: parking

Ok spot, nothing great going on here. If you like hanging out in a small room with loud crappy music and scenesters yelling into one another's ear, then you'll love SBar!! I've been a few times but have never had anything more than an ok experience. SBE has better properties than SBar, try Area for a better time.
- Pros: Nice Design
- Cons: Not much more going here than design
A Great time

I went 2 Fridays in a row and had the time of my life both nights. The drinks are good, bottle service is reasonable....the place is small but cozy...decorated very nicely...like a 20's parlor....
- Pros: people, music, hip scene, lots of celebs
- Cons: small place
The Details on S Bar
Look Good:
There's no cover and evidently no guest list, but with a capacity of only 100 people get there early.
Know Before You Go:
Although they share a wall, there's no way to get in from the restaurant. Being at one doesn't garner access to the other and no, you can't order sushi in the bar.
Parking:
The space shares a valet with next door Katsuya--drivers will take your car for a 10-spot before 11pm or $15 after.
