Flora has graduated from the Russian/Canadian Mr. Goodbye School of Cosmetology. She has certifications from the Vidal Sassoon Academy,
Bumble and Bumble Academy and has completed Schwarzkopf Color classes. Her career spans 16 years. She worked at Carlton Hair International for 12 years as a mentor stylist, assistant manager and manager and went on to open her own business Modern Hair by Flora.

Let this woman cut your hair!. You won't be disappointed. She is extremely nice and very honest. She is a very skilled artist. I have difficult hair and had been having a hard time finding someone who could do a good job. I found her on the internet and saw she had good reviews so I tried her. Love her! I thought the salon was adorable. Like you stepped into a time machine that took you back to the 70s. That worried me actually but Flora is so good, it didn't matter. Funny salon, super nice, highly skilled, unpretentious people (the other stylists are a crack up and also very nice). Flora and "Impulse Salon" are a gem in today's cranky world. I've been coming to Flora for almost 4 years now... finding a good hair stylist is very difficult and I was totally lost until my sister introduced me to Flora. I'm glad I no longer have to search.
Flora really listens to what you want and gives great advice to how to style your hair that will bring out your best attributes.
Everytime I come to Flora I always get compliments about my cut/color/highlights from friends and co-workers and sometimes even strangers on the street.
She uses nothing but the best products and no matter how busy she is.. she makes time to squeeze you in.
Flora is a true professional and I highly recommend her!

I too was looking for a new hair lady in Burbank and found Flora to be the ONE.
She listens to what you want and does it. I never leave thinking " oh what have I done" and she doesn't " overcut."
I had some breakage problems with my hair; and with Flora's help it is looking much better.
