worst shop, worst artist, best tattoo shop
Worst experience ever !!!.
I wish I would I've read some of the reviews about this place before spending my time driving there all the way from Oceanside.
I am glad I did not spend any money at this stink hole. The A...hole at the front desk was a complete idiot, not willing to hear what I wanted and making all kind of stupid, idiotic comments.
It was around 12.00 PM when I arrived there, so probably this guy was going cold turkey. I would have waited for him to go in the back and shoot up, maybe he would have come back with a much better attitude, but wait, no, I really dont think it would have made any difference... eh eh eh
Please dont spend you money and time at this place, I would rather get me a bugs bunny stick-on tattoo that get something done there.
They dont need your money, they are rich and famous, go somewhere else.
Horrible shop.
I've been in hole in the wall shops from L.A. to London. This shop is THE worst! All of the male "artists" seemed like nothing but female divas, even the off camera "artists" have taken on this personna.
The absolute worst was an "artist" by the name of Corey (sp). If I didn't appreciate the industry, I would've bitch slapped his punk ass across the floor. He's nothing but a male wanna be diva and his art isn't that special.
Stay away from this shop and avoid the headache! There's much better shops in L.A.
There ARE betters out there...
I have tried and tried to get in with Kat to get a tattoo done, a portrait of my mother, who passed away 2 years ago. Not only did she refuse to see me, she was arguing with other staff members in front of customers, and just generally seemed like she thought her $h1t didn't stink.
If you ask me, they do have alot of (overpriced) talent in the shop, and it's a shame that people who go to this place because of the "hype" of a TV show line this brat's pockets with their hard earned money. She doesn't appreciate it, or deserve it. In my opinion, she should go shoot up with Nikki Sixx and drop dead.
Best Tattoo Shop In Town Hands Down. This tattoo shop is extraordinary, I highly recomend it to anyone that is looking for a quality tattoo.
The city's most hyped tattoo studio doubles as a reality show backdrop for "LA Ink" babe Kat Von D and her team of talented artists..
In Short
With funky pink walls covered in skateboard decks, candelabras and the Virgin Mary, clients may feel like they've just stepped onto a film set. Oh wait, they have. Despite a rock star following, a hit TV show and her own line of merch, the queen of ink stays focused on the signature black-and-gray portraits that inspire endless waitlists. Can't get in with Kat? Ten or so highly-skilled artists with varying specialties share studio space with Miss D, and walk-ins are welcome.
