Service is a little slow, but thoughtful. Sit outside and take in the Venice Beach scene pass by you. Breakfast options are solid.

Nice From The Outside. This is an odd kind of place, right on the beach. It is not like other beach restaurants all of the country. The fly problem is, I guess, unavoidable, but annoying. The food is mediocre and the service the same. The owner is one of the strangest restaurant owners I have ever come across. I don't know how this place survives. Management and some staff follow the owner's lead.

Poor Service and Worse Management. First impression from reality show "All Worked Up" on TruTV...owner acts like complete @sshole. I have no desire to ever spend money here and based on other reviews this place lacks service and quality food. I don't recommend spending your money here.

I love your Happy Hour. I have been coming here since I moved to the area 6 years ago. It's great place to get a good meal and in a friendly environment. I love their new happy hour which has great drink deals and appetizers. I love the pizzas and calamari. The bartenders are really great too!

Horrendous - Tourists Beware. I've been to some bad restaurants in this world, and this one ranks right at the top of the "don't go" list. If it weren't for the location, it would have died quick death long ago. And quite frankly, even though it is close to the beach, you can't see the beach. All you see is the beach parking lot, so why not go to any other place on Washington for a better experience. You've been warned.

Tourist Trap - Poor food quality but nice location. This is the first time I have ever been compelled to write a review of a restaurant. My fiance and I went there for lunch and had a rather poor experience. We are both former servers and each of us worked in the industry for at least ten years. So we are pretty giving and have realistic expectations when it comes to our dining experience.

The service was good and our server and busser were both nice, even if the host was rude. However, the food was both undercooked and came out cold. The kitchen managed to make a poor grilled cheese sandwich! How is that even possible?

That said, the location and view is very nice and I am sure that many people (i.e. tourists) would find that this more than compensates for the lackluster food quality. For us that was not enough, though that may be because we live in the area.

Great location, Friendly Service, Yummy Food, Excellent. We were visiting Venice Beach and decided to stop by The Terrace Cafe for breakfast. Even the outside of the place looks inviting and friendly. Service was great here, very friendly and fast. Their lox and bagel was excellent, as was the belgian waffle with fruit. Everything looks and tastes great. Even the coffee is good. We felt very relaxed and were able to enjoy ourselves here. Definitely recommend.

Great location, great food!. What a way to end the day! Came across this place after a great day at the beach. We had cocktails at the bar, then made our way to the terrace for dinner. This place has great calimari. I'm usually not a fan of osso buco but I took a few bites of my husbands and Im hooked. Can't go wrong. I'm thinking of having my next birthday party here.

Editorial Review. This casual Venice spot is where neighborhood locals go for beachfront dining and a fun bar scene. The Cal-American menu offers everything from seafood and salads to steaks and pastas, while the full-service bar is home to a long list of wines and vodkas.
