Editorial Review for Central – by Lina Ung
In Short
This intimate nightclub within stumbling distance around the corner from its dining counterpart reproduces Hollywood's very own "Central Parc." Taking notes from the restaurant, nightlife impresario Shereen Arazm's bottle-service lounge matches the organic look and feel: Light boxes over the dance floor draw attention to a leaf-less ree branch feature; tiny star-like lights suspend from a black ceiling; and the walls are lined with either stone or wooden panels for a contemporary look. Resident DJs spin from a glass booth overlooking a beautiful crowd.

Insider Tips
ParkingIt's possible to find a spot on the street that's free after 8pm, but it's not likely. Just valet it for $10.
Look GoodYour chances of getting in will definitely improve if you make the effort to look like you belong in the young Hollywood crowd.
The ExtrasCheck out Parc for dinner first. The menu includes oysters on the half shell, caviar, spiced baby back ribs and lobster ravioli. Note that dinner at Parc doesn't guarantee entry into Central.

Me and a few of my girlfriends were having dinner at Parc on friday night for a birthday and trying to figure out where to go to keep the night going. Our server (Erin) heard us and said we should go to thier new spot Central, just around the corner. She talked to the manager and walked us right over. We got right to the front of the line and in with no problems. Right when we walked in I was greeted with a giant black and white of Central Park in NY. Being from New York I got a little warm and fuzzy, but thats just me. As we turned the corner into the main room the "park" theme continued with a wall that had branches that seemed to be growing out of it. We staked out a spot at the bar (right at the end of it, the only place with bar stools. Kind of felt like a VIP area) and headed to the dance floor. The music was amazing and the people were all having a good time. Some boys that had a bottle table invited us to sit and have some of their cheese platter and vodka. The booths were nice and it made my girlfriends from out of town feel like celebs. All in all it was a great night. Next time I go I want to figure out how to get up into the DJ booth where I can look down over the crowd. Guess you gotta know someone to get up there. I'm going to try the same thing this weekend. (Dinner at Parc and ask the server if they can get me in). Seems the fastest way to get past the line. Cheers!!
Pros: Great music, great crowd
Cons: If you don't know its there, you might walk by it.

This Door is a hard door to get past. My friend knew someone to get me in. The decor is amazing and a classy crowd to go with it. I saw Vice Vaugn there with his entourage. It was crowded but everyone in there was dressed stylish and seemed to know someone or be someone to get in. A good place for a stylish, sophisticated crowd. Lots of industry people....but what's new- we are in LA.
Pros: Ladies and Celebrities
Cons: Gotta Know Someone
