Exceptional_Instills Independence NOT dependance. Cindie Henrie has helped me to deal with my Complex PTSD which was compounded by traumatic care provider experiences the year plus, before she became my individual therapist which was 3/11. Cindie helped me help myself transition to independant, assertive, and self-reliant ... what a reprieve.

I appreciate Cindies Honesty in business practices and therapeutic process.

Highly recommended. Cynthia works out of two offices. The 90042 office is a home office between Echo Park and Glendale. It is a safe and quiet neighborhood with street parking. I've met there with a therapy group she conducts. Usually, I see her in her Santa Monica, Los Angeles Therapy Network office, where she is Friday, each week. This office is on the second floor in an inviting, courtyard office building just north of Broadway on the west side of 7th. I recommend parking at a meter on Colorado and walking up one block, but you may find an unmetered spot on 6th street, if you're lucky. There are also pay lots about if you aren't enough of a local to feel comfortable slugging it out. It is walking distance to the promenade, so there are some annoying one way streets and no left turn intersections about.

She treats a wide variety of issues, ranging from depression to abuse, Gay and Lesbian to transgender transition. Her therpist4me website lists out her various therapy groups, as well.

Cynthia has been my transition therapist, and I cannot recommend her more strongly. I have had some past, extremely destructive experiences with other therapists, but Cynthia was great from my first session. At first, when money was tight, she offered a sliding scale and biweekly sessions, instead of weekly. She is not a gatekeeper. Where other therapists have tried to milk me for months of sessions before providing treatment referrals, Cythia was always encouraging, instead. She has surprised me several times by emphasizing how the SOC are guidelines, not laws written in stone. Regarding fees, I must emphasize that therapy is a commitment, not a vacation destination to be penciled on on weekends. In my experience, with therapy, you speak in terms of years, or, maybe, several months - not two or three sessions. Cynthia makes her fees and policies very, very clear verbally and in writing the first time you meet with her. I've always found her fees both fair and timely.

Between my time with plastic surgeons, psychiatrists, doctors, electrologists, stylists, and therapists I've learned that it's the ones who promise free services that are most likely to cheat you. If you want something great in this town, then be willing to pay for the greatness. I was glad that Cynthia was so clear from the beginning. Cythia has been safe, supportive, encouraging, and very insightful. My life is far better now than it was before I knew her, that is for certain.

honestly. I have been going to countless therapists, hospitals, and psychiatrists most of my life. I found myself in a REALLY dark place and don't believe I would have gotten past it if not for this woman. I really do feel she is a remarkable therapist and brilliant at what she does. In all honesty she is the BEST therapist I have ever come across and I reccomened her for anyone in need of professional help.

The best ever. Cindi Henrie has been instrumental in transforming my life. Before I went to her, I was skeptical regarding therapists, but she immediately helped me to feel at ease. I have seen her for over a year, and the layers are still peeling off. My personal life, my professional life, and my intellectual life are more in sync than ever. Cindi is extremely knowledgeable, uses a variety of techniques, and is not judgmental. I really feel that she is 'on my side' which I needed to do the work. My family thinks she's great as they have seen a significant difference. Thank You, Cindi, keep up the good work!
