In Short – European decor sets an elegant Old-World tone beneath chandeliers and silk brocades, walnut paneling, framed model ships, and orchids on every starched-white table. Curtained nooks afford privacy; window tables peer out over the romantic patio and across the expansive manicured lawn and gardens. Well-heeled hotel guests and business diners enjoy chef-de-cuisine Craig Strong's tweaked contemporary American menu, with dishes such as sauteed foie gras, lemongrass scented Dungeness crab soup, rabbit loin with tapenade, roasted pheasant, poached lobster, and beef tenderloin with…
Brilliant & Innovated - Very small portions

Terrific food, presentation & service. Michael delivered! Our only constructive input would be to increase the serving sizes. We chose a five course meal and maybe they reduce size to allow for the six course & seven course option.
- Pros: Creative & Innovative
- Cons: Expensive & Small Servings

Unfortunately you are paying for the service at The Langham - the food was mediocre, but should have been outstanding for the prices they charge. The ambiance was nice and the staff was very attentive, but again...we went there expecting high quality all around and were very disappointed leaving. We would have been happier at a more casual restaurant, it was very frustrating paying those prices for food that wasn't comparable. I'm rating the dining room at The Langham two stars - it is below average for the category of restaurants that it falls in.
- Pros: Attentive service, Nice ambiance
- Cons: Prices not comparable with food quality
Wonderul for Snobs; Dreadful for Everyone Else

Ridiculously overpriced, miniscule portions, bland dishes and painfully slow service. If you're a pretentious foodie, this is your restaurant. For everyone else, avoid at all costs. I went to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago. The service took forever. We were seated at 7:30 p.m. The amuse bouche, an unoriginal shrimp tempura, was served at 8 p.m., the appetizers were not served until 8:30 p.m. and the entree around 9:15 p.m. I had to eat a couple of rolls to hold myself over. The rolls, by the way, were brick hard (I nearly cracked a molar on them). My entree was the veal loin. There were four flavorless pieces about the size of a half dollar about an inch thick for $40. Fortunately, the portions were so small I could finish quickly and leave as soon as possible. Well, there are three hours of my life that I'll never get back.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Small portions, no flavor, horrible service, high prices
