In Short – This exclusive venue is equal parts chic Melrose hideout and mystery-novel setting, skirting the been-there-done-that vibe of many Hollywood clubs. The small, eerily designed space is crammed with eclectic touches: Bear and buffalo mounts straight from the taxidermist loom over the full bar, while a library of classic books lines the wall behind its booze shelves. You'd think pulling one of these tomes would open a secret passageway to the unofficial VIP section, where the latest who's who of Hollywood can request their own private roped-off area. Editor's Tips
- Parking:
- There's valet parking for $5.50 out front, and a few coveted meters available on Melrose. If those are full, try to snag a spot in front of the West Hollywood Library, located just west of the bar on San Vicente.
- What to Drink:
- Cool your heels with a refreshing Cucumber Cobbler, made with vodka, fresh squeezed lemon juice, ginger syrup and apple cucumber puree. They go down easy, and the attentive wait staff will keep the drinks coming all night.
- When to Go:
- The door relaxes slightly on Monday nights for "celebrity karaoke," when the wannabe famous (and sometimes the famous themselves) belt and blunder through trendy pop songs. Show up in your slinkiest threads and, depending on what regulars decided to show, you might get around the two bouncers to see the likes of Avril crooning Britney.
- Know Before You Go:
- The owners like the idea of a close-knit group, so it's nearly impossible to get in without an invitation or referral, and almost as difficult to get a person on the phone to request a reservation. The good news is once you make it through the heavy leather door, it will open much more easily in the future.

SAT night!

I love the location but i went this past saturday and i must say they need a better dj! the one who was there seems to be playing to one guys request! who had the table next to him and was drunk. he said he was the main promoter. overall it was ok but if they had a better dj it would be nice.
- Pros: Place is nice! upscale and great bartenders!
- Cons: DJ was bad! also was not really cracking!

This place has come back to life...the last 2 Fridays we were at capacity at 11pm unfortunately a bunch of my people couldn't get in. but everyone that was there by 1030 on my list, dressed well, and looked hot got in no problem

I know a bunch of the people below post that they are promoting this place but in actuality they just do that at every club then when you email them they convince you to go somewhere else...
If you bring your camera keep it chill, they may snap on you to put it away. there will probably be some people in attendance that you can't photograph
