Great food. Cafe Muse has a really relaxed atmosphere. I come in with my computer and do work and never feel like I'm putting anyone out. The food is really wonderful. I'm a big meat eater too, and I love all their vegetarian options. The chili is hearty and the veggie burger is totally satisfying. The owner is there all the time, which makes the place feel really well taken care of.

A Writer's Dream Cafe. I went to Cafe Muse through a friend's suggestion, another writer who gets a lot of work done here. I came and spent 6 hours working on fleshing out a script. There is definitely a tame inspiration among the empty tables and chairs around you. I loved hearing Sinatra and Patsy Cline, didn't bother having to use my ipod except to reference the script I was writing. Parking was easy to find, and the bathroom is clean. Also, free wi-fi and plenty of outlets. It is an ideal space for writing, I must say.

The espresso is fine, nothing spectacular or particularly memorable. The food seems to be bread-heavy. I had the tofu hotdogs and my friend the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. I had to work my way through some heavy, wheat bread to get the dog, which, at that point, didn't seem affected by the ketchup and mustard. So I had to use the BBQ sauce from my delicious sweet potato fries (fried in canola oil, not lard) Those are dangerously wonderful. My friend mentioned there was more bread than substance in his sandwich too. The lemonade was more sugary than pulpy, but who am I to criticize. The average entree is $8 or so. A day with the muse cost about $15.

I will probably avoid the food just because I am a girl trying to achieve the perfect bod, but I am back again today to write and enjoy the ambiance. The staff is great- very, very sweet.

Great food, great artists. This place is awesome! The food is great: it's all vegetarian, but i'm not a vegetarian (actually very meat & potatoes kind of guy), and i loved it. The live performances are also great. Has one of the best open mics for music/comedy on monday nights.
