So GAY! Loved it!. My boyfriend and I were bar hopping in Santa Monica last Sunday night. We love to go to Main and we were stoked to see it open on a sunday night. We walked in to a fun crowd and great music. BUT we didn't realize at first that it was a gay night. Oh My GOD! What the Hell? My boyfriend wanted to leave. There was a go go boy in Vinyl and then he wanted to stay when he saw the Go Go Girl in a Bunny suit. Ha Ha. The music was amazing. I actually got my boyfriend on the dance floor. We had a good time and met some kool people.

Looking forward to the next one. I'm glad there is something different to do on a Sunday Night.

Main on Sundays. On the last Sunday of the month, Main on Main has the dopest party ever!!! There's an eclectic mixture of music and people and tons of fun! Even the promoter rocks! I have gone every month since it began in October and I am stoked to find out that they will now be rockin out every 2nd and 4th Sunday. If you are looking for a place to let down your hair, mingle with any and everyone and are craving awesome music and delicious, inexpensive drinks (with cute bartenders to match) then you want to make it out to Main on Sundays!!! See you there!

Thursday night at Main.. My friends and I usually kick off our weekend Thursday nights at Main. My friends and I have been going to MAIN every other Thursdays. If you're tired of the Hollywood scene and want to try something new, this is your spot. Very diversed crowd & i loooovvve the music the djs play. This isn't your typical Hollywood environment. NO Hollywood ego's, NO guestlist BS and the promoters & staff are very friendly. The Djs (Dj Dynamike & Dj Mr. West) play Retro, Mashups, Rock, Top 40s, Club Anthems & a handfull of remixes. These guys definitely know how to rock a crowd. Thursday nights at Main!

Salsa night Mild at best. I use to Love the old Morbar for salsa dancing on Mondays with the crappy floor, disgusting bathrooms, absent ac etc. but it had sabor/flavor...great dancers, hot sweaty bodies and the music was the bomb.

Main on Main, on the other hand, has a new and improved look but the music, dancers and the vibe is gone. At 10:15 on the Tuesday night I was their I counted 4 couples in the whole club. No energy, no people, no good.

Pretty cool place. I like Main. Nice staff and it's a vast improvement from the Mor Bar. I saw I flyer for Salsa on Tuesday nights and I'm very excited about that!

Give it a try. I went to a friends bday party a couple of weeks ago and it was not hot, great drinks, pretty people and an AWESOME DJ!

Give it a try...no cover before 10:00 is a good start.

I left one star off because the bathrooms leave something to be desired. Who paints a womens bathroom brown? Strange...

Best place to dance on main st. I've been going to Main off and on since they opened. I quit going because it was so hot. NOT ANY MORE! I don't know what they did but I went this last weekend and it was almost TOO COLD..until I started dancing then it was just right. It's the best place to dance on Main st and I can walk there to it's a win win for me!

Way Too Hot!!!. The reality of this place is that it is just too damn hot in there! I recently attended a friend?s birthday party on a Sat. night. The temperature in the bar had to be over 100%. There is no circulation in the place so you are basically just breathing in the gross sweaty air that everyone else is exhaling. Just one look around the bar revealed almost everyone fanning themselves with the flyers, table tents, or anything else they could find relive the heat. After speaking with a couple of workers at the bar it became apparent that this was not a onetime issue. I was informed that they get comments on it every weekend and they relay those comments to management and nothing changes. My friends and I would not go back to this bar based solely on the lack of concern for the comfort of its guests!

However, if you are looking to have a great time and leave soaked in sweat, this is the place for you. The DJ was playing a fantastic mix.
