Great atmosphere, friendly stylists.... I truly wish I had encountered Helen Simanowitz years ago...she is now my go to stylist for many reasons.

1. She is completely honest with you about what is and isn't working with your cut/style/color etc.

2. She then makes you look...better. I mean, better than you've looked in a really long time.

3. She cuts your hair so that it grows out looking really good. Which I guess is counterintuitive for her...it means that you're not getting it cut every five minutes. But that doesn't matter to Helen. What matters to her is that you feel really good about how you look when you leave, a week after you leave, and three months after you leave.

And, finally, 4. Sitting at her station is utterly delightful. She is not only a great conversationalist but a great listener and confidante as well.

I'm so glad I discovered Helen. You will be, too.

TIM ! AMAZING. Tim colors my 90% Grey hair to a lovely Chestnut Brown, its always so soft and shiny.

He cuts exactly the right amount off , it falls perfectly into place, then he blow drys and flat irons.. it last a good few days. I feel so pretty and confidant when I leave Salon Nesou. TIM you are such a good person and very talented Hair Stylist. Thank you xx

My New Place. I just moved here and found this place here on citysearch. Very impressed as I come from a very high end salon up north this one ranks up there with some of the best. A very relaxed atmosphere. Jason has been doing hair for 12 years and it shows. Incredibly professional and talented. He matched my color perfectly to what my last colorist had done. He cuts as well which is a surprise to me only because I have only ever gone to two different people for cut and color. He took the time to really find out about me and what I want as well as telling me what I need. The space is so open light-no more crowded cramped salons. Nice to find something with parking as well. Will defiantly be recommending this place to all my friends

best extensions in town. I've had numerous extensions put in over the years and no one can touch the job Valentino does. My hair looks thicker and longer and so natural that no one can tell I'm wearing extensions. She is also very gifted at matching hair color. She was even able to weave in beautiful blond highlights for me so that I would not have to worry about coloring and bleaching my own hair. The extension hair she uses is of the best quality. To top it all off, Valentino is a pleasure to work with, always ready to accommodate her clients. You won't find anyone better.

Finally found a stylist!. Got a coupon for 20% off and decided to give them a try. Called up and made an appointment for a men's haircut. Only appt that was available was with Helen. Turned out to be the best haircut I ever had! She took the time to get to know me asking about the hobbies I was into and what kind of hair styles I liked and gave me a haircut to match. Really had a wonderful time and I think I've found my permanent hair stylist now. She's South African so it's also a hoot to hear her speak.

Best Hairstylist. If you're looking for a Hairstylist look no further than Helen, who is now back at Salon Nesou (formerly Kenneth George). I have been going to Helen since I came to live LA in 2001 and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Everyone always comments on how great my color is and that is thanks to Helen. Helen has worked as a hairstylist all over the world and she has so much experience. She really cares about her clients, not just about how they look but also about the care and quality of their hair. If you come to her wanting something that will compromise the integrity of your hair, she won't do it. She'll find you a solution that you'll be happy with without ruining your hair. She's also now doing the brazilian blowout, which I have just done again for the second time with her and she did an incredible job. She researches these new treatments and does most of them on herself before she uses them on her clients so that she's always speaking from first hand experience. It's rare to find someone like this and that's why in 9 years I haven't switched and won't. Even now that I live further away, I travel the extra distance to have Helen do my hair. She's also the only one I trust with my 4 year olds hair . Try her out out, she's a real professional and you will find a hairstylist for life!

Great stylist, great hair. Helen has moved from Pomp and is now styling at Nesou. Helen's a great stylist and I always enjoy the time I spend in her chair talking, laughing and loving my hair. Nesou is a better location with much better parking and SO much easier to get to on Wilshire than fighting the traffic down to Ocean Ave. Helen is also offering Brazilian Blow Outs and did a great job on my Mom and sister's hair.

She knows her stuff!. Krystyn at Salon Nesou gave me an excellent haircut. I was referred by a friend and was glad I tried her! She was very skilled and detail oriented. The cut has kept it's shape for quite a while and I am so pleased.

See Stephanie Style. I followed Stephanie over a few years ago because I just cannot find anyone else who can fix my hair the way she can. She always listens to what I want and offers advice or changes if she thinks it's necessary. She is truly outstanding and really cares about her clients, which is more than I ever thought to have in a hair stylist.

The price is comparable to every other salon in Santa Monica (which is a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it), but the attitude is much friendlier!

Stephanie is IT!. I was referred to Stephanie by a friend about a year ago. Now let me be clear that I am Miss Picky of the century when it comes to my hair. So even though I had a referral, I was still had my subtle reservations about trying a new salon and stylist.

Well, let me tell you....all my doubts were basically gone within minutes of being greeted and cared for by Stephanie.

Not only is she a PERFECT stylist and colorist, she is a remarkable business woman with the highest standards of professionalism and warmth with her customers.

We have the BEST conversations AND my hair looks amazing! Really can't beat that.

The salon's prices are extremely fair, and I feel truly feel like they care about the customer. This is seriously the best place ever!
