great food, great service, pricey sushi, very attentive server, nice staff, beautiful people, sweet scallops
Expensive sushi that is worth breaking the piggy bank. Nobu is a memorable meal. Great spot for celeb sightings.
Just okay. I went to Nobu for the first time last week, and was kind of disappointed. I'm a big sushi fan, and thought that the fish was not that fresh. The waiters took their time refilling glasses, and weren't that helpful or courteous. The look of the restaurant is nice, though, and thought that it was a pleasant setting for a meal, if only the meal had been a little better.
Good Fun. Ate here just a couple weeks back and I enjoyed my experience. The sushi was great but pricey, the ambiance was very nice and I can tell they take the time to make sure things looked good around here. All in all, good fun with good service and food.
A little too obvious. I was at that party as well, and the door was a huge hassle. The bouncers seemed to think they were little gods. I'm willing to put up with that kind of attitude sometimes to get into a really good Hollywood club, but at a sushi restaurant? I did like the decor, and can't comment on the drinks (stuck with wine), but the place was crowded and doesn't have the best floor-plan, and I haven't talked to anyone who really loved the venue as a party spot. It might be a great restaurant, I don't know. Also, does it seem a little suspicious that the second there's a bad review about the bouncers, suddenly two five-star reviews pop up saying how great the party was and how friendly the doormen are? You have to wonder which employee from Nobu wrote those.
Not so great.
Weird, because I was at the same birthday party last Friday, and I thought the drinks were mediocre and over-priced. The wait staff were okay, but not that attentive, and it took forever to get a drink.
The food here is not bad, but not really any better than a Sushi Roku, so you have to wonder what all the fuss is about.
Great hangout spot. I was invited to a party at Nobu on Friday night. I've eaten there many times but never knew they had a live DJ on certain nights. The food was awesome, as always, and the music set a great vibe. Great party and music without all the hassles you encounter elsewhere. Nobu has evolved into a great hangout.
Super fun Super Good. Went to Nobu last night for a friends birthday and had the best time. The staff not only attentive and nice but hot! The DJ and atmosphere was fun! And as always the food is the best sushi ever, always creative. Lychee martini is my favorite. Would def recommend for a fun night out w/ friends w/o all the drama of doormen.
Service has become terrible.. I showed up for a good friend's birthday party, for which I was on the list, and was told the bar was "at capacity". When I pointed out that dozens of people had left in the last ten minutes, I was then informed that I would only be let in if I bought a bottle for a couple hundred dollars. The doorman was incredibly sleazy and rude. I couldn't believe that this was what Nobu has descended into. I've spent quite a bit of money at the restaurant, but I won't be returning again.
My FAVORITE resteraunt in LA!.
I am from Bakersfield. Every time I come down to LA, I must find a way to have sushi at Nobu. Everything here is amazing. The ambiance is hip. And the staff are all nice, not to mention HOT! :)
My recommendations are the tuna sashimi, the white fish with dried miso flakes, and the eggplant. yummmmm!
You?ll probably even see a Hollywood celeb, as I do EVERY time I go there.
Good service, not such good sushi. I have been to Nobu Las Vegas and Miami. The service was excellent and the waitress was real friendly. The price isnt THAT bad but the food just isnt that good but if you wanna go for the heck of it I think youll have fun....just dont expect great sushi
An Experience!!. Went last night and had a great time. Food was great, the food is an event in itself, service was fantastic , and it was a great scene. We sat in the main room so it was a little noisy, but other than that it was AMAZING!! I will be back!
