In Short – This colorful, albeit somewhat chaotic, hybrid eatery offers a healthy haven for Westside parents with toddlers and young children. Think of it as McDonalds PlayPlace Deluxe: Goat cheese salads have replaced Big Macs and germy climbing tunnels have been traded in for more "educational" wooden toys. Murals of castles, rainforests and dinosaurs surround the airy room that's filled half with tables, and half with carpets and mats strewn with riding toys, dolls, balls and games to amuse your toddler while you enjoy your Croque Monsieur and cappuccino. Pay an entrance fee to get…

  1. have never written a review before but we had so much fun and this place is so great that i had to take the time to let you all know on this and other sites.
  2. the staff were very warm and friendly and all seemed to genuinely have as much fun working as the kids had playing.
  3. Anyways, we had a BLAST, and more importantly, I got to spend Friday night w/my kids, yet my husband and I got to dance together, eat AWESOME food and actually feel like we were ALL having a great time, as opposed to us sacrficing so the kids have fun, li
  4. its a great atmosphere and entertainment for the family!
  5. The ambience, the staff, the weekly entertainment, and the cleanliness of the restaurant makes this the best kids restaurant in town!

  1. good healthy food, kids loved it
  2. Let me start by saying that they have the best and most nutritious food for kids of any restaurant i have been to.
  3. would not recommend anyone to take their kids here, for Giggles and Hugs has horrible food, is unnecessarily pricy, is unsanitary, and a safety hazard.
  4. There is no where in town where i can go with my kids and eat some of the best food i have ever tasted and have my kids play at the same time.
  5. it felt wonderful not to be patronized as a parent with kids that just want to run around while you enjoy a meal out.
  6. NOWHERE can you feed two kids EXCELLENT, high quality, food w/veggies in it for $3.50 each!
  7. Anyways, we had a BLAST, and more importantly, I got to spend Friday night w/my kids, yet my husband and I got to dance together, eat AWESOME food and actually feel like we were ALL having a great time, as opposed to us sacrficing so the kids have fun, li
  8. had the most amazing chinese chicken salad, my husband had the BEST pizza of his life, My kids had mac n' cheese w/squash in it (couldn't tell & ate it all).
  9. And the food is excellent too - by now, I have had almost everything on the menu, and it is all good - excellent salads, pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and other fare, with their creative "Mom's Tricky Treat," where they sneak healthy foods into their meals.
  10. In addition to paying for pricy food, which is poor quality, you are also charged $9 per child to play in their Play Area which is extraordinarily small - - (literally so tiny and congested that it was shocking).
  11. In addition, the food was awful tasting.
  12. He saw the musician on stage and the play area with all the toys and assumed the food wouldn't be good.
  13. The food was good enough (I especially liked my daughter's mac 'n' cheese) and the whole place reminds you of what it was like to be a kid.
  14. As i said the food is great and healthy as they sneak veggies into kids favorite foods.
  15. thought the food was great, more upscale than I expected.
  16. Think of it, it keeps the kids busy and it has great food for grown ups and healthy menu for kids as well.
  17. The food is excellent and the play are is safe and clean with a variety of toys to keep the kids occupied for hours.
  18. we all ordered food, which was delicious (which you don't tend to get when you enter anywhere that pertains to be "kid friendly or kid oriented
  19. Very clean, very safe for kids and great food at an affordable price.
  20. You can even sneak veggies into your child's favorite food.
  21. Great place for the kids to play and the food is delicious!
  22. Obviously we all love our children, but it is nice to be able to go to a place where you can rest, have a good meal and have your kids really enjoy themselves as well.
  23. The food was also very delicious, I had a huge salad and my kids had pasta with pureed veggies - it's the restaurants smart way to get a serving of veggies to the kids, who are picky eaters.
  24. have kids, do the same, head over there, and try incredible pizza.
  25. think one could go wrong with a live DJ with ultra cool sunglasses, Royal Princesses all over the place (I'm 24 and seriously debating stealing one away for my next birthday party) Incredible pizza (the crust is the perfect amount of thin, and the sauce
  26. really liked the food and was happy to learn that they "sneak" healthy vegetables into the kids meals.

  11. The staff is unbelievably friendly and the entire place is so beautiful with murals of Mermaids, Tigers and Dinosaurs all over the walls.
  12. The staff is extremely nice and accomodating.
  13. The staff was genuinely nice and welcoming.
  14. The worst part of my experience here was the manager/owner who went around to each table asking if they enjoyed their meals and how everything was--except me.
  15. couldn't believe how amazing the staff was.
  16. We get a chance to converse with one another while knowing our kids are in a safe, friendly environment having a fabulous time.

Ruined our Party

by West LA Citizen at Citysearch

We went to Giggle n Hugs, Century City, because we had the party there last year and had a good experience. We could feel the difference on our first visit itself when we went there to talk about the party. The place is too crowded, same as other places that we did not go to for the same reason. The food was the deal clincher for Giggles n Hugs, but they messed it up big time. They served chicken pasta to our vegetarian family and guests. My family and guests who never in there life had had any kind of meat product kept quiet only out of decency. When I pointed it out, Sean the manager said, he will find out what happened. After 10 minutes, another manager Sheree brought a replacement bowl and said they have FIXED (YUCK) the issue. After doing this they had the guts to add an 18% gratuity in the bill. It's high time they look up the meaning of gratuity in the dictionary. They are talking about starting Kosher menu as well, not sure how they are going to handle it, if they have no control on their kitchen at present itself.

At the start of the party, they introduced a server; who we were happy to meet as he served us the previous year and were hoping he will take good care of us. Even though we had talked about serving the food at 1:00pm I told him to talk to us before brining anything. At 1:00 pm some other guys just dumped everything to out tables withouht talking to us, and our designated server was not around. Everytime we needed anything I had to go to the kitchen area to find someone, taking my time away from my guests.

Just TOOOOOOOO Fantastic!!!!

by Abellina at Citysearch

I recently held my daugters birthday party there..shes 5 and chose the Prnicess theme package of course!! With a group of about 8 kids + siblings of various ages...every single child had a blast!!! They enjoyed the food, play and almost as important...so did the parents.. We ordered from the adult menu and enjoyed every bite!!! I am so happy to see a location focus on the kids but allow the parents to have their own moment as well. I've even started using their drop off service, for a few bucks I take the kids in. they get enertained, run my errands...get my pedi's and come back to pick them up. They always have a great time!! I find the staff sincere & helpful, the place extremly clean...and all in all a spectacular venue!!! Take your kids NOW....you won't regret it... And they were just voted Best kid friendly rest. by Citysearch..couldn't agree more!!!!

Terrible cramped space

by Lincolnwriter at Citysearch

This place is too small. When there are only like 20 kids playing it gets way overcrowded. The bathroom is not that tidy. And there are several spots where u just can't access or see your kids.

The food is not good and is very overpriced

YUCK!

by kiwi411 at Citysearch

Not only was the place overcrowded, both my daughters got pink eye and coughs right after we spent time there. I even felt sick after spending time there. The food is totally bland and you feel duped by the whole place. The staff can't wait to get you out of there fast enough...just a $$ business.

Finally Giggles N Hugs comes east of the 405!

by kara nortman at Citysearch

Custom built indoor playground, perfect location in the Century City Mall, a godsend on a rainy LA day or for a quick meal meeting with friends! The food is also pretty good and healthy for a kid's themed place. It does get crowded, particularly when the weather is bad.
