friendly staff, not recommend place, elegant spa setting, big massagewhirlpool chairs, great atmosphere, enjoy hourorso, incredibly pleasant overall experience
Voted top spas in LA by L.A. times - I agree!. L.A. Times voted "one of the top spas in Los Angeles" and I would have to agree! The ambience is calming and peaceful. The services and treatments are high quality and reasonably priced. I definiltey recommend the Body Lounge!
Try to ripp off when you buy deal. 5 different package only $85 + 20%tip of original price. Not worth it...
Treating deal client with no respectful. I will never there again.
AMAZING SPA, this place is so great. I came here with zero knowledge of arysys and perfector. The owner and all the girls were so helpful. Made me feel so comfortable. I love the body lounge, they got me a glass of wine when i came in, explained everything, I'm so thankful for the wonderful experience time and time again. I have gone back 7 times and can't believe what a change it's made on my appearance. I gleam. My body looks great. What a life change. I MAKE my friends go in, at least once. I have 5 girlfriends hooked on this place already. LOVE. They also do massage and a number of other services that are to die for, theses people know what there doing. They have top of the line equipment, all new technology. its insane. I have no idea who would not love it.
I love this place !!
I've been going to the Body Lounge for a few months now.
Each time i have been greated warmly and offered a beverage.
The atmosphere is upscale and very relaxing.
All of the staff are friendly and the owner is super knowledgable
about all the latest advances in the spa and anti-aging industry.
I really appreciate learning about all the new things that are available.
The Arysys and Perfector are my new best friends, lol. The improvements that I have seen since using these treatments is absolutely incredible.
I am so glad I found Body Lounge !!
Customer Service is terrible. I was "barely" greeted when I entered and then I waited sooooo long for my appointment. After waiting, someone else came and was serviced immediately. I should have left, but I stayed and it was not worth the long wait. I usually try to give places a fair try, but after reading reviews of other's who were unhappy, I should learn from history and NOT repeat it
New Ownership-Will Never Return. I used to go here for manicure/pedicures before it changed ownership. I recently returned and was so dissapointed. The first time my mani/pedi was just okay, not great. They also did a treatment to remove callouses, which was fine for $4, nothing special. They got rid of all but 2 of the chairs for mani/pedis and replaced them with treatment rooms and the walls and windows were covered with promotions. Out of convenience I returned today for a mani/pedi. I walked in and it was still disorganized, no one seemed to be in charge. As we began I told them that I was getting married and they told me how I needed to have all of these treatments-callous remover, scrub, teeth whitening, some sort of fat reducer. I cannot stand up-selling, and this was over the top. I said fine to the foot scrub and callous remover only to find out that they charged me $10 for each, which was ridiculous considering I had only paid $4 a few weeks before. Literally, they put some lotion on my feet, put them in a bag and then scrubbed them. I felt ripped off and taken advantage of. It seemed quiet and then all of the sudden all of these people appeared from the back, including some loud guy who had just performed a fat reduction treatment on a woman and was lecturing her about what else she needed. This guy was so obnoxious, loud and self-important. I could hear them trying to sell every person that came into the store-showing them pamphlets of before and after photos and promotions. Some poor girl was having her teeth whitened in the middle of the spa and it looked like they had no idea what they were doing. My manicure/pedicure was not good, the manicurist left half way through to assist on the "teeth whitening." When it came time to pay it seemed like they were making up their prices as they went along, asking each other how much they would be charging and then changing their minds. They even went behind the treatment room to "discuss" how much they would charge. At this point I just wanted to get the hell out of there. $70 dollars later I feel swindled and uncomfortable. This place used to be so charming, whatever happened to a simple mani/pedi? I will never return.
A change in ownership and then I got burned!!!. Best place for wax and threading. Then all of a sudden, a change in ownership. Got a wax in brows and upper lip. Burned badly. Decided to opt out of intended waxing for underarms. I feel so sad. I don't recommend this place at all.
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and VERY RELAXING. In need of some good old fashioned pampering? BODY LOUNGE is the place to go. Enjoy the ambiance of french music and friendly staff with a glass of wine or champagne while getting a spa mani/pedi. I've had the chance to try out their facials aswell which are wonderful and relaxing complete with a shoulder AND arm massage. This is just the place to relax and unwind.
Easily Best Spa in Sherman Oaks. I took my mother here for a facial on mother's day, she had never been to a spa before (or had a facial) and was nervous. As soon as she walked in the door she felt relaxed. The atmosphere is great (candles, relaxing music, and great-tasting pastries are just some of the touches) and the staff are extremely friendly and professional. Katherine did a great job with the facial and my mom could not be happier. Thanks Body Lounge!
A great place to pamper yourself....
Remember Jungle Nail? That kitschy nail salon on Ventura with the stuffed tiger in the window? Well, I was devastated when it closed for business -- its windows were covered over, and the familiar stuffed tiger was nowhere to be seen. Well that closure was like a metamorphosis: Jungle Nail has been replaced, and not an ounce of that old kitsch remains. It has been transformed into an elegant, and remarkably relaxing spa setting called Body Lounge.
As a pedicure regular (I only rarely get a manicure, since I invariably destroy it within 2 days), I highly recommend this salon. The quality of the work is terrific, the prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly (but not overly solicitous -- for those who like to enjoy an hour-or-so of pampering without too much chit-chat), and the overall experience is incredibly pleasant. They even keep drinks and sweets on hand -- you never know when you might need a Diet Coke or a dose of sugary goodness! For pedicures or mani-pedi combos, clients sit in big, cushy massage/whirlpool chairs, and take my advice: the additional 10-minute massage (for an extra $10) is a must. This may be the best-kept-secret on Ventura -- but perhaps not for long.
