With a design as chic and elegant as its products, Chanel's new concept store fits right in on Robertson Boulevard..
In Short
Coco would be proud of Chanel's 5,395 square-foot concept store just steps from the madding crowd at The Ivy. Designed by Peter Marino, the black-and-white space incorporates granite floors, marble shelving and theatrical stage-lighting into its very prominent storefront. There is also a courtyard where celebrity shoppers can refuel between browsing through the constantly updated, strategically chosen items--ready-to-wear boucle jackets, quilted hand bags, sunglasses, scarves, flats--that complement the architecture. Chanel's makeup division has even released four limited-edition nail colors ($25 each) honoring the spirit of SoCal: hot pink Melrose, purple Rodeo Drive, yellow L.A. Sunrise and tangerine L.A. Sunset. The new space is the legendary house's second Los Angeles location--the flagship store stocked with the line's full offerings is on Rodeo Drive.
