view & uploadoverpriced food, helpful staff, good location, favorite hotel, poor service, favorite bathroom, good mini pizzas
The rooftop is where it's at. Beautiful people, beautiful views and a beautiful pool.

The "London After Five" in the lobby bar is fantastic and features $5 cocktails, $5 light bites and $5 valet parking with validation (M-F, 5-7pm). An exquisite boutique hotel with a rooftop pool and beautiful people.

Great location just off the Sunset Strip. If you want to call London for free, this is a pretty place to do it. The restaurant is quite nice
REALLY DISAPPOINTING DINING EXPERIENCE. Full disclosure: I TIVO Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares. I am a true GR fan and not just because he is handsome, but because I admire the passion for service he demonstrates on these shows. Sadly, it appears it is truly just for show. As a GR devotee, my husband thought it would be fun to take me here last night for our 23rd anniversary dinner. The night began in the bar. The bar with only 4 barstools, which is an oddity, but we eventually managed to get 2. We were ignored by the 2 female bartenders who were entangled in an ongoing and obvious argument. Neither wanted to be there and neither smiled the entire hour we were there. We were forced to almost plead for drinks and appetizers. Once we got to our table, I did mention our sad and frustrating experience at the bar to the restaurant manager who seemed to speak very little English and really offered nothing more than a meek "so sorry." The dinner was fair, nothing special in taste but beautifully presented, and extremely overpriced. The distracted staff felt like actors (which they all most likely were) pretending to understand fine dining and food, but no one managed to pull it off. We left completely disappointed, feeling robbed and still hungry due to the very, very small portions. I went to GR's website, but interestingly enough, there is no where to contact him or his staff re complaints but plenty of ways to contact him regarding press events, private dining and speaking engagements. Apparently, he is more interested in good TV than good doses of customer feedback.
my favorite fine dining restaurant.
I have been here 3 times so far, I need to go back again! I went the first time for dinner with my husband and was blown away. we had the tasting menu, yum. yum. yum.
the second time we had lunch during dine out LA week and got a wonderful deal on out meal, I had the best beet salad ever!
the third time the whole family got together, 12 in total and we got a private room for our nieces birthday. We all had the tasting menu- every drop of food that came out of the kitchen we gobbled up. they even let us switch the menu around to better suit the whole family's taste. we were all very impressed. the only item I didn't like was the organic margarita, which I have come to love from JOSELITOS in Tujunga- now that is a MARGARITA!!
I haven't been there in a year now, and I'm dying to go back- I hope it's just as good.
Beautiful. If you have out of town guests, demand they stay here so you can eat on the roof! Great views. Downstairs in the restaurant, the view is nothing special, but the mini pizzas are good and not too expensive, given the setting.
Citysearch Editorial Review. This swanky all-suite hotel was transformed from its former incarnation as the BelAge hotel into a beacon for iconic Hollywood glamour and sophisticated London style. The towering ten-story property is located at the foot of the Hollywood Hills, offering 400 rooms (a standard room is about 720 square feet) just steps from the Sunset Strip. It's a chic magnet for the older crowd yet still a bit removed from the center of all the action and noise. The onsite restaurant originally helmed by "Hell's Kitchen" chef Gordon Ramsay (he's involved in name only) features an upscale European menu with Asian twists, while the gorgeous rooftop pool is where hotel guests can eat, drink and lounge in style.
The $18 one ravoli.
Seated at corner out of the way table, when place was not filled was snobby and outdated. The aspargus risotto was gluey, and Trader Joes frozen risotto is much better. The bread was stale, the truffle butter was over salted and inedible. The salad was spring mix with slices of cheese like a take-out deli. The steak pie, was a Marie Callender pie, with less meat , and undercooked pastry. The 1 small
$18 ravoli, yes one ravoli, on a sea of salted green fennel sauce was funny in way. No wine steward. And the $6 cappucinno was weak. So, service was poor, as if the staff was embarrassed by the food. But Godon Ramsey's name was mentioned at least 7 times, until I told the waiter to stop saying the man's name. Do they use a micowave? The food was so awful, and several friends who have eaten there, say overpriced and bad food.
Great place!.

Love it!.
My romantic husband pick this place and I have a wonderful time!
Great for that special occasion or for a weekend getaway!
I'm sorry but needs a little work. I attended "The London West Hollywood" one week after its opening. Unfortunately I ordered Lamb and it was quite favorless. I was very suprised because I had been bragging to my friends that I was going to Chef Ramsay's restaurant. Not only was my lamb favorless my souffle tasted like scrambled eggs with thai curry ice cream. My husbands experience was a little better than mine. He ordered the 6 course meal and was able to choose some tasty items but the portions were really small for both of us to share. Our waiter could careless and had a very nonchalant attitude (typical for the area). By the end of the night we spent over $260 and I was still hungry. Thank God for the Risotto that held me over until I got home. Sorry Chef Ramsay I still love you!!
Loved my room!. My favorite hotel in New York City is the London and I had high expectations for the Los Angeles London...my expectations were met. I loved the lobby. It was truly beautiful. The staff was helpful but my favorite was my bathroom in my room. I'm building a house right now and it gave me several ideas. I will be coming back and will have my friends stay there when they come into town. Perfect location as well if you're into the Sunset Blvd crowd.
