good mojitos, great decor, great atmosphere, best place, great food, great experience, great food
I went to Bungalow Club to redeem the
certificate I purchased through CBS local deals. I was pleasantly surprise there were no restrictions as to what I could order and still use the certificate.
Service: Crystal our waitress was terrific and pleasant. A smile on her face at all times.
Food: Incredible.. really. I had the bruschetta which was divine. It had pistachos in it which really gave it a great spin with the cherry tomatoes. You really have to try it. The Hummus with mushrooms, is a meal in itself. My friend had the salmon dish and could not stop raving about it.
I was really surprise to see that the restaurant is not more popular. I think like most people who walk by, it can come off as a bit pretentious with the interior dark red. Give it a shot. You wont be disappointed.
The music they play a combination of eccletic / blues/ jazz is really tasteful and adds to the ambience. A rarity in this town.
The only suggestion I have is: please remove the picture of the model/ girl or whatever it is on the wall. It looks completely out of place and cheapens the sophistication. I do have an appreciation for beautiful women but somehow while Im having the hummus it just doesnt go with the lingerie model on the wall.
Great place for a date, lighting is good and the music is not overbearing. You can have a conversation
Nice Place!. A place to crave for! I go their once in a week & enjoy the cool environment with delicious food!
Inexpensive drinks!. We reserved space here for my girlfriend's birthday, and we had a blast! Sean, the owner, checked in with us all night just to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The drinks were inexpensive but the pours were generous, the music was great, and everyone there was having a great time.
everyone seems very friendly. Had a really fun time here with friends. It never gets boring. A lot of games with some drinks is always a formula for a lot of adult fun! The service was good, and quick, and everyone seems very friendly.
Alright. Next!. Went here for a girlfriend's birthday party. The food was so-so and the vibe was meh. I'd rather go somewhere else.
bad experience. won't be back..
So bad. I used their website to make a reservation.. My plans changed slightly and I needed to adjust the time. Good thing I called as they had no record of my on-line reservation. Despite two automated emails confirming it. And another email today thanking me for dining there which I did not because I got such horrible service I left.
I'm a local in the neighborhood. I hadn't eaten there in years (and when I did it was bad) but I've been watching the updates and improvements and understand they have a new chef/menu.
When we arrived we were seated in a back bungalow. The host informed us that there was a screening going on but that it was wrapping up and we could close our curtains or move inside. We decided we wanted the bungalow and would wait out the end of the (extraordinarily loud) movie. We were given dinner and drink menus. About 5-10 mins later a waitress approached our table and took our drink order. She seemed odd in her demeanor at best.
After 15 mins with no other person to our table or her return my boyfriend went to inquire. This waitress it seems had no recollection of taking our order then informed us that she wasn't serving tables outside. It was very bizarre. Then she told us we could order food at the bar if we wanted some. So by now it's 9:30. And my boyfriend's BIRTHDAY. Which I mentioned in my on-line reservation which apparently nobody saw. I let the manager/host know we were leaving. I've never left a restaurant before I've eaten before.
Sure, I've been to birthday parties at the Bungalow Club but that is, at most, what it should be. A bar.
Luckily the brand new establishment next door (Tirovino) was able to seat us so late. The Bungalow Club might want to be careful before they're overrun by superior restaurants.
Not worth it--- Overrated.
My friends had raved about this place and I saw some good reviews and based on that I decided to have my parents 50th anniversary there. Not only was the staff unfriendly and very unprofessional , but they overcharged us on drinks and food tasted awful and meat was undercooked because of which my mom got sick and spend the weekend in bed.
When I complained about the bad service and undercooked meat the manager simply said im sorry but others like it this way.
Overall it was a waste of exoerience for us and will never go there again
Great Drinks and Food.
The food is amazing – they have new executive chef and the drinks
I had my office party in The Bungalow Club. the service was excellent, and the food was even better. To make the experience even more enjoyable, our waitress was very accomodating.
