I've had massages by Johnny Ray several times over the past ten years and he is always-without fail-the best massage. I live in Venice and over the past year i've often opted for a massage at The Massage Place or Lamai Thai Massage because of it's convenience for me. but after going to Johnny Ray yesterday-i am reminded tenfold of how amazing he is and how it is SO worth it! (and the drive is really not that bad at all:) it's a matter of getting a good/adequate massage at one of the massage places where it's hit or miss with the therapist you get and really feeling like you could use another massage a few days later or going to Johnny Ray at Carino Massage and being truly released and relaxed and rejuvenated. He is truly a healer.

It’s truly an amazing massage from Johnny Ray! I have been frequenting his place for sometime now and always leave feeling fantastic. Whether you’re in the mood for a deep tissue or more relaxing massage Johnny is more than capable. I have gone to many massage therapists over the years and he is the BEST!

The lucky people (including myself) who get to see Johnny for his Carino Massage know how much he truly, GENUINELY cares about making his clients feel great -- it's not just physical well-being, but emotional & mental well-being as well.
The space on Melrose is intimate & cozy. You can't help but feel nourished there. And Johnny's one-of-a-kind Carino massage provides me relief like no other massage before (and I've been getting massages for almost 20 years now!)
It's a DEEP & comprehensive massage which covers all the bases. But if you have specific target spots, he'll focus on them for you, too.
My only "complaint" is that I can't (yet) see him EVERY week instead of just once a month. But that once a month massage is something I really look forward to!
