This independent toy store shares the same affinity for imagination and creativity as nearby art galleries and fashion boutiques that dot the boho-cool Abbot Kinney strip. The bold blue-and-green exterior with marching elephants invites children and parents into the nostalgic playroom. A dollhouse, miniature chairs and other playthings are usually assembled along the hardwood floors, while books, stuffed animals and games fill the floor-to-ceiling shelves. Look for specialty brands not typically found at big-box retailers, such as Green Toys, Haba, Infantino, Madame Alexander, Manhattan Toy and Think Fun.
