With nothing more than an address in common, Echo Park's short-lived Restaurant 15 has been transformed into a Bostonian sports/tapas bar.

Had a wonderful time, great service from everyone including the manager who helped us get a table for a large party last minute, and the chef who said goodbye and thanked us as we left. The food was the kind of simple, straight forward food that is almost impossible to find in Los Angeles. We will return!

After waiting an hour for food, I had to leave for an engagement. The waitress would not cancel the order when 45 minutes in I asked if it would be long and that I had to leave, then the manager was argumentative and rude, insisting repeatedly that if we were "in a hurry" we should have said so. Waiting an hour is being in a hurry? Arguing ad nauseam with a paying customer? I didn't realize "eclectic" meant crappy. I work too hard for my money to be treated so poorly.

Once known for being a BYOB staple, the restaurant has had to pause that behavior until appropriate permits come through. It's a bummer, but you'll have to leave the bottle at home for now.
