In Short – The turquoise-and-peach dining room is filled with roomy Naugahyde booths, where faithful patrons sit and stuff themselves on ample portions of inexpensive east Indian fare. The wide-ranging menu includes familiar dishes such as chicken tandoori, vindaloo and richly spiced lamb curry. Vegetarian offerings are plentiful; the sag paneer, a velvety spinach and cheese stew, is a highlight. As a side, warm naan is offered with a variety of stuffings.

I am an Indian from the east coast, so I am used to Indian food of certain quality, and after trying various places in Los Angeles, I have to say with pure certainty that this is the best Indian kitchen in Los Angeles. The dishes are authentic and tasty, the tandoori meats are succulent and juicy, and it's clear that they use the freshest ingredients. Plus, the staff, as rag tag as they may be, are attentive and truly aim to please.
I would say A MUST! And try the daily buffets. Buffet's tend to be the most cost effective way to enjoy Indian food, and theirs is fresh, hot, and full of unique dishes that are not the typical dishes you will find in other North Indian style restaurants.
Enjoy!!
- Pros: Excellent buffet, attentive staff, best Indian food in LA
- Cons: The decor could use a little work
Small Portions & Expensive Prices

- Cons: Small Portions, Expensive, No A/C
Worst Indian food in the greater L.A. area

If you like Indian food, stay away from this place! The food is completely bland. The curries taste like cardboard, the chutney is watered down and tasteless, even the naan is dry and flavorless! I couldn't believe this place had the nerve to call itself an Indian restaurant. The service is HORRIBLE also. I ordered three items, and they got all three dramatically wrong (I ordered lentil soup and got cauliflower instead!). Even the water they serve smells and tastes like old chlorine! STAY AWAY!
- Pros: None!
- Cons: Insultingly bad food, terrible service, and a high price.
