In Short – The restaurant's red walls and pale wood decor complement its funky place settings and stylish presentation. Starters include edamame and a gingery tofu salad, but the real draw is the thick, gravy-like curry, offered in more than ten flavors including vegetable, beef and chicken. Most people order the chicken cutlet variety, a breaded and deep-fried chicken katsu breast served over a steaming bowl of chicken curry. A selection of sake and imported beer is also available.

I'm surprised curry spots didn't make it on the most recent round-up of the Sawtelle corridor...it's a favorite food among the Japanese-American community and there are lots of options when it comes to finding a curry restaurant. Hurry Curry is one of the best, in my opinion. It's a cute little restaurant tucked away in the plaza across fr Nijiya market, and has all the traditional curry dishes - pork, chicken cutlet, tofu, veggie, ground beef - you name it. You can go crazy looking for parking but there is valet; and it's close to so many other shops of interest that the entire trip to the Westside is worth it.

It opens at 11 am. Please change the hours of operation! The food is awesome and the servers are friendly!
