In Short – It's been a long time coming, but the highly-anticipated sequel to the original Sushi on Sunset has made its debut--and it's intent on picking up right where the O.G. version left off. Though much of the crowd is too young to remember this two-story hangout back in its hey day (oh, if these walls could talk), the laidback, anything-goes attitude is still the pervading theme here. The night I went they must have been throwing some sort of event, because fonzworth bentley was rockin his teacup amongst other notable figures.
I guess that really helped the vibe, but I think the atmosphere in general was great. Reasonably priced tasty sushi, love the cocktails.
- Pros: Vibe, drinks and sushi
- Cons: I hate parking
In Love with this Sushi!

By far some of the best Sushi I've ever had and the prices were totally reasonable! My only issue, with any place on Sunset, Parking is just so hard! But valet wasn't too expensive. The food made it all worth it!!! If you want an inexpensive dinner out, this is great.
- Pros: Great food, Great prices
The Details on Sushi On Sunset
What To Eat:
Try a soup and sandwich for dessert: The signature ice cream sandwich is served with cold strawberry soup for dipping.
Parking:
You can try to find a spot along Sunset (not always an easy task), so your best bet might be valet.
What to Drink:
The restaurant features a solid list of hot and cold sakes, including the house sake--a fragrant, almost floral-like drink that's both smooth and strong.
Fun Fact:
All specialty cocktails are named after bands that broke on Sunset Boulevard--think "Unskinny Bop" (Poison), "Kick Start My Heart" (Motley Crue), "Light My Fire" (The Doors) and "Rocket Queen" (Guns 'n Roses).
Where to Sit:
The upstairs "private room" offers incredible views of the city while the adjacent outdoor patio (it only fits about 4 people) is where you can grab a smoke and gaze into the air-suspended firepits.
Parking:
Don't even think about finding a spot along Sunset--pony up the $5 and valet.
