The Pike sounds like fun but dead as cobwebs. Wandering down here, it is clean, it is nice but lots of empty windows. The smoothie king place is gone (c'mon Jamba Juice, open up already!) the Gameworks has been replaced by KDB and Borders is still alive. What else is there to do after eating? More eating...Lots of lease space is available but who are they waiting for it to fill up? Any takers? Guess not. A nice selection of clothing stores would be great so I don't have to trek outside of Long Beach to shop. Kodi boutique is a real gem, giving Forever21 some competition.
So fresh and so clean, clean: This Long Beach waterfront entertainment district has a little something for everybody.. With a smattering of restaurants, entertainment and oh, and a Ferris wheel, this well-maintained open-air promenade is a place for Long Beach locals and visitors to mix and mingle. Catch a flick at the Cinemark, grab a sidewalk seat and sip your latte at Borders, then get your chow on at any number of tasty restaurants before going on a Segway tour or taking a spin on the Ferris wheel for just $2. (Though we do not necessarily recommend doing all this in that order.) If you're looking for a more mature night on the town, grab a pint at the recently opened Sgt Pepper's Dueling Piano Bar and get by with a little help from your friends.
