Really?

Seems to me any and all positive 'reviews' here are likely written by plants and/or friends of the wine cruises staff. There is one pesky little detail you will not find in ANY or the copious Corks Away on-line advertisements, and all potential customers should know - Corks Away does not have and has never had a license with the ABC (www.abc.ca.gov/) and thus it is actually ILLEGAL for them to run wine or alcohol-related cruises. ScubaB and all the rest of you who have been snookered into riding with these charlatans (look it up, Shane) should demand your money back. Unfortunately, I have to publish this with a rating...
Not worth the $$

$78/guest for the Mimosa Cruise is a rip off.
First of all, the place is hard to find. Nowhere on the outside of the office/convenience store/whatever-it-is are the words "Corks Away". We wandered around for almost 30 minutes before we happened to see someone with a Corks Away shirt on.
On the website they advertise the following:
"Each cruise includes three flights of sparkling wine per guest with two paired appetizers. "
What you actually get is one bottle of champagne for each PAIR of guests (Someone needs to tell these people that a "flight" is a selection of wines/beers presented for the purpose of sampling and comparison.) and our "appetizers" included a tiny box of mixed nuts/trail mix and stale pita with hummus.
We took a very slow circle around the harbor on the tiny boat and tah-dah...that was that.
If it weren't for the fact we got steeply discounted tickets from LivingSocial I would have demanded a refund. What we got was worth $20...not $80!!
I do not recommend this company!
Great date idea!!!

I went on the Corks Away cruise with my husband and this really is perfect when you're looking for something different to do. Service is attentive, setting is awesome. This is great for couples, or maybe a double date. We were served four delicious wine pairings in an hour and a half and were kinda tipsy at the end of the cruise. Stop into Buster's after for a cup of coffee!
- Pros: ambience and wine
- Cons: bring a jacket

Not only is the boat a beautiful restoration, the wines and food paired wonderfully and the Captain even sang towards the end of our cruise
This is a must for a 2 4 or 6 guests. The 2 guest private was a little pricey, but well worth it. Next time we are bringing our friends and making it a 4 guest cruise.
- Pros: Ambience, Service, Quality of Wines
