Even if your budget these days calls for more belt-tightening than belt-buying, this accessories shop is a must-see. The displays are as thoughtful as the merchandise and have more in common with art assemblage than clothing racks. Belts, bags and shoes are displayed with precision and care, celebrated as art. Also featured in the all-white, multi-room space is a wide selection of jewelry, hats, sunglasses, lingerie and other accessories for men and women. Inventory includes a rotating roster of roughly 70 designers including Band of Outsiders, Alexander Wang, Comme Des Garcons, Martine Sitbon and Rogues Gallery. The lines showcased at TenOverSix are all hand-picked by accessories designer and shop owner, Kristen Lee. Accenting the mix is a small collection of house-label pieces including silk tanks and relatively affordable Ikat scarves in a rainbow array. Complementing the apparel is a shop-in-shop by Brooklyn's The Future Perfect, purveyor of international, up-and-coming product and furniture design talent.
