Top Notch Salon

Mission Ten Eleven Salon offers everything you want in a salon: excellent customer service, consistently great results, a beautiful setting, non-ridiculous prices, and a friendly and attentive staff. Gillian does my color and I have gotten compliments on it ever since, which is not easy because I have a fair amount of grey to cover. Then I got my first Brazilian Blowout with Gabriella and, unfortunately I did not get the results I had hoped for. When I expressed my disappointment to her a bit later, she and salon owner Ernie worked with me to make the necessary adjustments at no additional cost to me. Now I am very happy with the results! And they have been nothing but kind and lovely to me ever since. I am a very satisfied client.

Fantastic salon & Gillian is GREAT!

I moved back to the Pasadena area about a year and a half ago from New York and was looking for a salon. I was initially referred to a nearby salon, but after reading reviews decided to go elsewhere. I found Mission Ten Eleven through reviews online and when I made my appointment I was paired with Gillian. She is GREAT! She always gives me a great cut and never tries to push her own vision for my hair on me (which I've definitely experienced before at other salons). She is super professional and knows what's she's doing when it comes to hair. I have crazy curly hair, which I always wear straight, and she always spends the time to blow dry my hair pin straight. Not only is the cut initially great, but it's always a cut that grows out really well. If you are looking for a new salon, or looking to make a switch, you should definitely go to Gillian.

A salon you must see to believe

Mission Ten Eleven is a salon that I highly recommend for several reasons! Owner, Ernie Hernandez has meticulously perfected exactly what a salon should entail. From the great variety of music channeling through the cool Bose speakers, to the fact that this salon is environmentally sustainable.

The moment that you step in to this beautifully decorated salon it will be obvious how much thought and detail has gone into this establishment. The staff and the stylists are all very friendly and attentive. Even stylists other than your own are very friendly and are quick to remember your name. Everyone there makes you feel welcomed and comfortable.

The shampoo bowls are absolutely the best I have ever seen or used. No strained neck with these shampoo bowls. They have a small comfortable platform where your head rests through the entire shampoo and conditioning process.

The owner, Ernie Hernandez is a highly experienced and very talented stylist. Over the years Ernie has made it a point to teach his clients how to correctly blowdry or straighten their hair so that they can achieve the best styles at home. He makes sure to quickly go over the most important techniques and he is happy to pass on his expertise. He is funny, interesting and has one of the best personalities of anyone that I have ever known. I can’t say enough good things about him.

Gabriela is fantastic with the blowdryer and she does the absolute best shampoos that I have ever experienced.

Be sure to click on Ernie the owner to check out his vast experience. And please check out the salon’s sustainable practices. They send all of the hair clippings to an organization that turn the hair clippings into mats used for oil spills.

best salon in the area and Gillian is a great stylist

i met Gillian, my stylist, back when she was working at a nearby salon. she has always been a pro with my somewhat hard to manage hair. i have followed her to Mission Ten Eleven since last year. i really enjoy the vibe of this place - not as crowded as many others, very clean, hip, upscale without the attitude. (well it doesn't hurt that i live upstairs from the salon and can just walk downstairs)

i have recommended many of my friends to come here as well. no strong up-selling of products, they do it the way you request while giving you good and respectful advice and overall just a great experience.

i highly recommend the salon and Gillian!
