pretentious staff, great other great designers, beautiful store, love alexander wang, love zac posen, love neighborhood, beautiful building
I'd rather shop at the Ed Hardy Outlet!!!. This place is about as cool as Danny Masterson, the owner. NOT VERY! It is pretentious and the staff was so rude and pushy for me to buy what looked like something Mickey Rourke wouldn't wear on his worst of days. Avoid at all costs, trust me!!!
A beautiful store - fashion forward and friendly..... I love this new edition to our neighborhood. I disagree with the last review that thinks the staff are snobby. I love the staff and the owner and am impressed by how nice they have been to me - regardless of whether I buy something or not. It is a beautiful building with gorgeous up-to-date trends for men and women. For those who love Zac Posen, Vena Cava, A.P.C., Alexander Wang, and other great designers, it is all here. The neighborhood has nearby restaurants and coffee shops and bars as well.
Rudest staff around!. If you want to go to a store where they completely ignore you even though you are willing to spend money on their merchandise, then look no further! I was in sweat pants and my tank and the staff completely ignored me when I had asked for a smaller size. It's as if they didn't think I had money or something. Do I work? No. But does my dad that is a producer give me his card for buying basically whatever I want? Yes. The way I was treated is something that happens at Barney's but, Confederacy?? They act like their store is the best around. Last time I checked, Danny Masterson is a joke of an "actor" and their selection was mediocre. Some cute stuff, but I would rather shop where they acknowledge my existence...
Our Neighborhood.. I went to Confederacy this afternoon. The store is absolutely gorgeous, flawless. I have lived in the Los Feliz neighborhood for over 17yrs now so I have seen it go through many changes, all good. In fact, I used to go to the book store that was located there. Is it really necessary for valet though? I love my neighborhood so much and for a minute I felt as if I were at Maxfield.....we're not a Maxfield kind of hood. Nonetheless, don't think I didn't notice the lovely Alexander Wang, Rag & Bone and the AMAZING artwork...hopefully they will do really well.
Co-owned by DJ and "That 70's Show" alum Danny Masterson, this giant clothing boutique in Los Feliz also houses a cafe and an art gallery..
In Short
Indie designers make you weak in your skinny jeans? Then this sizeable, retro-styled boutique should be on your hit list. Run by the newly business-minded likes of actor Danny Masterson (he's also involved in new L.A. restaurant, Shin) and designer to the stars IIaria Urbanati, the men and women's showroom fancies itself an alliance of up-and-coming fashions. Urbanati has dressed young A-listers like James McAvoy, Emile Hirsch and Ben Foster, and the pieces available in the store continue to be tailored to those GQ tastes. Guys can expect the same sort of hipster, slim-fit designs Hollywood has grown to love from Rag and Bone, Tim Hamilton, and Band of Outsiders. There's even a collection of exclusive private-label suits designed by Albert Hammond, Jr., the guitarist for The Strokes. Women, meanwhile, get similarly showy goods from A.P.C., Etro, and Azzedine Alaïa to name a few. After shopping, grab a bite at the attached Euro-style coffeeshop and browse the vintage newsstand.
