East 180. so I've went there loads of times, and sometimes when you go there (at the right time) you might see the chef. go there on afternoons, they have dim sum. at night, they're running pretty normally.

as for the rude comments i would sort of agree with them- a year before. they should really consider going back there now. BUT, the service is running a bit slowly. (a year before, there was a HORRIBLE manager. but they fired her)

and as for the wine-lovers, try the wine. the owner commented on how the wine was pretty good.

wl3ddnnf. Small portion, food is only OK, expensive. When I pay that amount of money for a meal I want a good dining experience, not just leaving feeling not hungry. Better places to eat for the money

dont waste your time. I had high hopes for this place. I even went 4 times with guests and made my way around the menu. Upscale prices with below average taste sums up my experiences. Quality was good but that means nothing if the food is not prepared and seasoned properly. Had it not been for the fact that I ordered appitizers and deserts with my meal, I would have left hungry every time. I mean, come on..$24 for a bland 4oz. portion of beef ? And the decieving "rack-of -lamb" that was 4 tiny chops??? Really? I was pretty embarassed that I had to ask for salt and pepper on each visit. They tried to say it was "AUTHENIC CHINESE". I didnt know chicken wings, lamb, and chocolate suffle was authenic Chinese. This was casual dining at best with under par food trying to portray itself as fine dining. The only reason I kept going back was because I was hoping I caught them on a bad day but it seamed like everyday was a bad day. The staff said they were trying to make it Healthy Chinese food but that should not result in bland tasting food. I was told that was the owners vision so I'm thinking it was his doing. Read the review in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune...enough said!

4 Star Dining in Diamond Bar??. This restaurant is not what we normally see here in Diamond Bar. You would expect to see this restaurant over in Beverly Hills or Laguna Beach. Our appetizers (around $7.00 - $8.00 a plate) were good in taste..but lacked any style. We ordered their vegetable dumplings and veggie spring rolls, if you come with a party of 6 or more, you may want to order a couple orders of each... Service was a little slow, again its a new restaurant and I think its because of their very green staff. Once our food arrived the plates were serviced hot, too hot as to possibly burn little kids hands, so be careful. I had their scallops plate (lunch prices are around $12 - $18.00 per plate), my wife had their cashew chicken. Both dishes were very good in taste, my parents enjoyed their house steak and chow mein noodles with chicken. If you order a noodle dish, you don't get rice. If you like sharing food with each other this is not the place for you as you don't receive enough food, its kind of ritzy for Diamond Bar. The Dessert portion was very interesting (around $7.00 - $9.00 a plate) for each), they have three individual scoops of ice cream from which the waitress will explain the several flavors. They also have chocolate dumplings which are stuffed with a chocolate sauce with hints of other nice ingredients. The house offered me their chocolate souffle covered with small diced figs, drizzled in a very tasty rum sauce and a scoop of vanilla bean ice-cream, This I think is their signature dessert. and probably the only worth while item.

What I didn't get to try was their wine, they have an entire wall dedicated to cool various vineyards. All in all it was a nice experience but shy on the portions and somewhat pricey. With the economy in its current state, hopefully they'll open their eyes and lower prices for lunch and dinner and include more items with their dishes.
