Culver City's popular wine bar makes its way downtown with this snazzier, larger sister location. Row upon row of bottled wines keep the floor-to-ceiling wood shelves looking pretty, sturdy tables and bright green chairs keep folks steady and eye-catching countertops made from recycled wine and beer bottles entertain in between sips. But just like its cozier (but no less noisy) predecessor, the main attraction here is the wine list--there are over 1,000 selections with prices ranging from $15 to $1500. Great Atmosphere, Service, and Selection

by lenkarm

So I had been to the Culver City Bottle Rock location and had been thoroughly underwhelmed. The prices were too steep and the whole place smelled and felt as if you were down wind from a massive charcoal BBQ. This location, however, was great. I went on a Tues night and the place was nice and quiet. The bartender was great about letting me and those in my party sample a few different beers and wines in order to make the best choice. Also, the tap beer prices were very comparable to other high end beer bars around town.

Overall, if you want a convenient location with a great selection and quiet atmosphere, choose this place. If you want obnoxious crowds, less attentive staff, and less selection, go to the Yardhouse or ESPN zone down the street. By all means though, this is where I am going next time I want to grab a drink by the Staples Center.
