What Our Expert Scouts Say

The name says it all. This is a place to watch a game and get "in the zone!" And if you're not into watchin' the game, there's an arcade.

Go Lakers!. I love sports bars and I love it here. Big flat screens all around make this the perfect place to watch the game. Sometimes it's an older crowd, but I don't usually attract the pervs! Food's good and the bartenders hook you up!

Less slutty than the Vegas one!. Seriously, it is. Also there is a obvious absence of shame, guilt, bankruptcy or infidelity. However, instead, there is a distinct aura of pretention, hipster, entitlement and...well...infidelity. Haha all jokes aside --

This place is great. Think bar food if it was actually good + arcade - the creepy old people and curfew + more flat screens than a Best Buy = ESPN Zone. I'd recommend the Smoke House Burger, getting there early before any sports game and bringing a few of your old college pals to relieve how great the Pete Carroll era was. You'll run into your own-of-towners but this ESPNZone is predominantly LA fans (obviously). Whereas the Vegas ESPNZone attracts a seemingly more glad-to-have-a-$10-chip-so-I-can-get-a-burger-but-not-really-care-about-what-game-is-on clientele, you'll argue Lebron's greatness next to a Laker fan. Or verbally crucify Bonds with a Doyer diehard. Or bump into Gretzky Superfan99 from Swingers. Point being, people here love their sports.

Romantic place, this is not. Important Japanese client meeting atmosphere, it isn't either. But if you're looking to down a few beers, have a satisfying burger, play some arcade basketball and enjoy some time away from the ball and chain (be it wife or corporate), I'd suggest popping in.

Oh and you won't have the smell of stripper sweat and cigarette smoke around to bother you either.

Espn Zone is where Dennys and Sports Bars collide.. ESPN Zone is pretty much like Denny's but with TV's and Arcade Games.

If you are in the area and just wanna get food then its an ok place. But if you want a REAL sports bar, do not go to ESPN Zone. It is a fun place, but its not for everybody. It is great to go after a Lakers game though. All of their food is just like Denny's and so is the service.

I don't recommend it for sports fans, but for anyone who just wants average food and some entertainment, then it is pretty fun.

It's all sports, all the time at this restaurant, bar and arcade inside downtown's L.A. Live entertainment complex.. In Short
Even if the team is away from the Staples Center, fans always have a place to eat and play next door at ESPN's two-story entertainment megaplex. This sports lover's paradise is outfitted with over 150 TVs for showing the day's top matches, including three 102-inch flatscreens in the main dining room. The full bar's line-up includes 14 brews on tap, while the restaurant's roster includes burgers, ribs and other American grill classics. Send your stomach into overtime with the Sudden Death Brownie or one of the other equally rich desserts. Guests should also bring an appetite for fun and games as the upstairs level offers sports-themed arcade with basketball, car racing, boxing and mini-bowling.
