Nice while it lasted.... This used to be one of my favorite places to bring a date or a group of friends. Unfortunately things have recently taken a turn for the worst. It has become a Sports-Club-Wine Bar, a first for LA I believe. Loud obnoxious music, multiple games playing at once, and worst of all - the already expensive wine just became the expensive HALF-GLASS of wine! They pour like 2oz!!

Used to be great - and THEY BLEW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a nice wine bar, have to admit that. My friends and I have been on a wine bar kick lately, trying out just about every wine bar we can get to. Salute is very nice and spacious inside, and they do have a good selection. In comparison to a lot of the other places around town though, Salute is definitely one of the most expensive. Even getting a tasting card for the self serve machines will run you a good chunk of change. So, in summary, Salute is really nice but a little too pricey for us to frequent it. Check it out for yourself, but the prices turned us off.

On my list of places to go. never really been there but everyone says it's great so I give it 5 stars on rep alone!

If I could give the restaurant 0 stars, I would. If you're looking to spend $120 bucks on 3 mini appetizers and a bottle of wine, this is the place to go.

Great food and very gracious staff!. I had a birthday party here on a Friday night and was able to connect with a group of 30 friends quite easily. We started on the outside patio and then moved inside and Tony, one of the owners was very accomodating, as was Sara our server who took note of everyone's orders and made paying the final bill very easy for our group. Because of the card-for-card system whereby you give them a credit card and then sample wines/order food as you like, there was none of the usual stress of figuring out a large group bill. My hubby had asked the staff to bring out a birthday cake as my friends sang "Happy Birthday" and they were so gracious, afterwards, they actually sliced it into pieces and served the cake on individual plates for us. So sweet! The variety of wines is delectable and the food is delicious and reasonably-priced. This is a gem. of a wine bar and I will definitely go back and support Marco and Tony's business and their lovely staff. Thank you!

BEST NEW PLACE FOR A DATE!!!. I went on a "date" with my husband to Salute Wine Bar and we had the best time. The staff is friendly and knows wine. We had a few different appetizers with our wine and all were superb. I would definitely go again. Plus the lighting is romantic and made me look great!
