This restaurant is NOT Gay Friendly!! Shame on them!. I must say that I am appalled at the staff at Cecconi's. I am a proud, gay woman, who had reservations there with my girlfriend. We are both very attractive, caucasian executives. We were harassed from the moment we walked in the door. We were shoved at a table in a corner, when the entire restaurant was available. The hostess kept shooting over dirty looks, an African-American woman. She even went so far as to come over and ask if we were expecting anybody else. When we replied no, we are all that we need, she laughed and walked away. Then she was whispering to her co-worker, very loudly, that we were Di...I can't repeat such a word. When we left, we asked her why she had to berate us, and she declared loudly, 'My religion does not support your kind!' My partner started to cry, and we ran out. In this day and age, how dare anybody frown upon our love. Shame on this establishment as 70% of Hollywood are just like us!

Great atmosphere, food, and service!. Our first time visiting this restaurant because we heard it was a hot spot so you would think there might be a pretentiousness about it but there isn't. The atmosphere is classy and sophisticated but not stuffy. A beautiful selection of wines and everything we tried was delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and to top it off we met the manager that welcomed us, bought us a drink, and treated us like royalty. We will be back soon.

Great patio!. I had a chance to have a work meeting here on the patio and Cecconi's is a great spot in West Hollywood. They have a great style and the food and service is amazing!

Great food, great service. I went there with some co-workers during Dine LA 2010 for lunch, and we LOVED it! SO much food, and only for $25 a person. My 3 courses included Gnocchi (awesome), steak (good, but not great), and some ice cream/cream puffs (so good...). Everyone in our party loved their food.

The service was great, very cool place, and I'd 100% go back for a nice date night!

nice bar! THATS IT!. waited two weeks to try this spot. very disappointing the food was terrible , the service was lousy, and the people are more concerned who is going to walk in the door, this place is great if you want to be scene or celeb hunt. The pasta was very salty and watery, the ahi tuna was very bland, and the bread was dry and hard, WHAT A GREAT NIGHT! Always nice to look forward to. The only good thing is that it was cheap, probably because that's all its worth,

pleasant atmosphere, good food, disgusting service. We had a lunch pary of 10. The place is nice and the food was very good, BUT THE SERVICE WAS DISGUSTING: UNPLEASANT, UNFRIENDLY, NEVER THERE WHEN NEEDED AND EVEN ARROGANT. If not for the fact that there was a compulsory tip of 20% due to the size of the party, I would left pennies on the table to indicate that I did not forget and that the service was not worth more than that. Service is a prerequisite of a good restaurant!!!

Vanity fare at the corner of Robertson and Melrose.. London's legendary Italian restaurant hops the pond care of Soho House to take over the iconic Morton's space in West Hollywood. The hype surrounding "the new Ivy" is both legit, it's always crowded, and deserved ... The Venetian-inspired food is actually very good. Let's start with the valet (free during the day until 6pm) that spits you out onto a sunny, landscaped terrace brimming with smartly dressed men and women glancing casually upward from their perches before returning to chatter, cocktails and the careless crumpling of fine linen clothes and napkins. With no rezzie, you will most likely be ushered inside for lunch, and turned away for dinner, so, in the case of the former--welcome to a room with the perfect shade of cerulean blue as the tonal backdrop. The word "well-appointed" really shouldn't be thrown around very much in L.A., unless you're somewhere like this joint. A sweeping, marble bar separates two dining areas with lovely windows, mirrors and cascading crystal chandeliers. Even the walk to the bathroom, alongside the private "Butterfly Room," named for its gorgeous, heart-shaped glass wall piece, a Damien Hirst original, is scenic. The waiters are kind, the service expert and dishes like the roast beet and burrata salad, goat cheese and Prosciutto San Daniele with arugula and parmigiano pizza, wild salmon and on and on, are really delicious. Elegant and inventive desserts include zabaglioni-prepared berries and an apricot and amaretto tart. With separate menus for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and even "midnight" selections, the options are endlessly appealing. Not that they would even have to be at a place this pretty.

Refreshing New (to LA) Face of Italian from UK. Came for opening week lunch. Was really delighted by the light touch influencing most dishes we ate and observed. One of my favorites was the Ahi tartar, wonderful with mint and tossed with your preferences of treatments. Drinks were mixed with care. Even the arnold palmer was perfect. Room was a nice mix of low-key celebs, studio types & foodie folk. All looked relaxed and lingered into the afternoon. Nice front patio as well, if you don't mind cig smoke. Unfortunately, all dining room doors were entirely open, while perhaps visually pleasing, in effect made the whole restaurant a smoking section, Not cool. They also have an odd party room adjacent to the main dining section dominated by a HUGE heart and butterfly motif which seems out of place compared with the more swanky feel of the rest of the decor and would be made even more irritating if filled with clamoring wedding/baby-shower/private-partiers since the wall seperating it is reticulated, They definitely need to work out some of the kinks in this regard. Excellent wait staff did their very best to accomodate us. I really could love this place.
