I love to have date nights here. The noodles are hand made in front of you if you go at the right time of the day. Must get items are : 9 season prawns, Mr. Chow noodles, chicken satay and the peking duck.

MR CHOW BEVERLY HILLS TWO THUMBS UP!!. Service was excellent. Once you walk in, you are treated with v.i.p service, noone is left out or treated different. Food was delicious. You have to be a gourmet lover to enjoy this amazing original Beijing cousine. I travel a lot to China....and this is amazing how I could find something with such class and ambiounce, with amazing quality original chinese cousine. I do not agree with some of these negative reviews written. You can not compare original chinese cousine with "Panda Express. You obviously are not a traveler and you do not respect gourmet food.

A +++ also the night we were there, we saw Mrs. Eva Chow, wife of Micheel Chow..the owners. How down to earth and thoughtful to guests. I will definately be back! Great job!!

Horrible. Horrible food, expensive and small, rude workers. Everyone makes this out to be such a great place, it was awful, id rather go to Panda Express

Do believe the hype!!. I decided to take my wife for our anniversary, it was a friday night. The place was bumping with energy. We arrived at our table and we let the captain take care of us (we had a choice to look at the menu, but when in Rome...) The food was delicious and visualy interesting: apps were..squid ink noodles and scallops. Mains were.. miniature jumbo prawns, fiery buffalo, fried rice and baby bok choy. The thing that impressed me was to get this kind of interesting dishes, usually happens in a more sedated scene. But here, the place was alive, classy not cluby, and the staff was cool and efficient. We loved it and we'll be back asap.

Nothing boring about this place!. I have been going to Mr Chow for about 8 years - not regularly probably 12 times in all - but everytime I go it never dissapoints. What a great place! Absolutely unique. The food is great - not your average boring fine dining fare really varied selection and presented in a fun and friendly way. I love the dumplings , ribs, satay, lobster, and the filet Mignon. the ambience at 8.30 is electric (be prepared to wait for your table) but dont worry this place has some great characters to amuse you and I dont mean the workers; the crowd is the A list in sport, music, film and TV, sometimes there is no wait so tell 'em you want to have a drink at the bar first- you wont be sorry. If you like some fun -and can tell quality when you see it -this place is classic!

amazing!! adding to my list of favorites!. Ok it's expensive yes we get it, but it is well worth it. Just the decor alone is worth the visit, i mean Cy Twombly plates, Joseph Hoffman chairs, Andy Warhol screens, Jean-Michel Frank lights, awesome! I am not being a snob it's just give credit where credit is due! it's also a fun time capsule of early 80's nightlife.

Plus, the food was delicious, the scallion pancakes, the prawns, some other fish in a red sauce that was unbelievable, come on!

It was a great dinner in beautiful setting. Just don't order champagne....that'll getcha!

Did not live up to the hype, not by a long shot!. I would not pay so much for Chinese food, personally, but, I was on a date with a pretty successful and well known athlete who heard Mr. Chow's was great. He heard WRONG! The server took forever to bring us our drinks, apps took 20 minutes to arrive at our table & the food was cold when it arrived. Even worse than being late and cold, it needed more seasoning. We went elsewhere for dessert.

I will never eat there again.

BEST RESTAURANT in LA. I love it

If you people are looking for cheap prices, go to Panda Express.

The service is amazing and I love the atmosphere. We were seated right away with reservations.

Don't ask for a menu because the staff will pick out the right dishes. Believe me, they know exactly what to bring to your table.

The Duck is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

There's so much to say about this place to recommend it!

Overrated II. Several friends and I attended dinner at Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills. Dinner ended up costing us $100 per person, and the food and service did not live up to so called publish reports. Completely overrated! Yes, there were some celebrity sightings, but not enough to soften my view of this restaurant.

64 negative reviews- 34 positive- yet it is still 4.5 stars?. Take a look at the review count yourself. How does this work? This place has an overwhelming amount of negative reviews yet citysearch still rates it as 4.5 stars.

We live in Beverly Hills and eat at all of the best restaurants on a regular basis. This is the only restaurant that we have had a terrible experience in. We had a reservation for 8pm for four people- a reservation we had made a few weeks in advance- yet when we got there at exactly 8pm they told us there would be a wait. If we had only known how long a wait it would be, and the way we would be treated, we would have left immediately. Ultimately we ended up waiting over an hour and a half for our reserved table. The hosts were rude, and never even apologized to us or offered us a drink or anything. There seems to be this attitude there that if you are not one of the D-list stars they regularly serve then you are nothing. Of all the restaurants in LA, I can honestly say this is the one restaurant you should avoid at all costs. They also try to get you to let the waiters order for you... read the other reviews to see how well that goes...

Be Patient!!!. My overall experience there was good, the food is great and the waiters are nice. Although the wait time took a little to long! We got seated five minutes after we arrived, Then it took about another 15-20 minutes for them to take our order. It then took another 15 minutes to get the check... Boston Celtics Kevin Garnett arrived a little after we did and his party of about five was serviced quicker than the two of us that atethat night , His party happened to eat and leave quicker than us. I guess we would be serviced quicker If I were a Celeb, huh???
