best hospital. Today my dog was hit by a car. He scooted out of the house when I was on my way out the door to go to work. The guy that hit her didnt even stop. It was a sunday and nothing was open. Animal Emergency center on ventura in studio city was the only place I knew of. The were so gracious. The put a splint on Tillys leg and kept her overnight to make sure she was ok. I would definitley go back

ASEC saved my little man. Recently my pomeranian (who has ongoing problems with kidney issues and a collapsing trachea) collapsed over and started having a hard time breathing. I rushed to ASEC. The girls at the front desk were amazing and compassionate and whisked my little guy to the back for emergency care.

The er doctors really know their stuff. The doctor on duty kept me updated while they put my little guy in oxygen and gave him medications to help calm him down. They gave me a fair estimate for keeping him in the hospital overnight. Nothing seemed unreasonable for an emergency hospital.

My little guy came home with me the next day and is doing fine. :)

I am so lucky to have found ASEC. My vet is only open 6 days a week until the early evening. I appreciate them being available in my pet's time of need.

Amazing Emergency care!. This place is amazing. i took my dog there after he snuck in trash and got a chicken bone. We did not want to take any chances and rushed down to VCA, they ended up having an emergency heart attack and could not take me. They directed me down the street to ASEC which thank god, because it is my new favorite emergency vet. I live in deep in the Hollywood hills and if had an emergency would not trust my dogs in any other emergency hospitals hands. Reasonably priced and made the scary, frustrating and nerve wracked experience almost pleasant! Vets were knowledgable and amazing. God forbid I do ever have to go back, but if I do have an emergency it will be where I am going no matter what.

Overprice & incompetent. We took our dog there on an emergency basis (holiday --- only emergency vet open near us). She was unable to urinate and we informed the vet on duty that she has a long history of Urinary Tract Infections. She examined my dog and performed an ultra sound. She stated that my dog had a large mass in the bladder, implied that my dog had bladder cancer, and tried to sell me lots of tests related to the treatment of cancer. I okay'd a biopsy, but refused the other tests. Meanwhile, we're being told about how serious bladder cancer is and that we really should spend another $2000 on tests (we'd already spent $1800 for an exam, a few hours on an iv & draining of the urine.

The next day we moved her to another emergency hospital (she was heavily sedated and looked terrible). That hospital performed another ultra sound --- they found no mass at all (I guess HUGE cancerous masses can disappear all by themselves in 12 hours). They started treating her for a severe UTI and for inflammation. My dog was in the new vet's care for 24 hours and when we picked her up --- she was in wonderful spirits (they saw no need to sedate my dog), and she looked great. BTW, the biopsy proved that the new doctor was correct and the over-priced ASEC doctor was totally wrong (I'm wondering if that's why they held up the test results --- made them look totally incompetent and like a bunch of crooks). We spent hours frantically worried about our dog for nothing.

If you want to spend thousands of dollars on unnecessary tests and be kept in a state of terror over the health of your beloved pet, go to ASEC. Be warned that if you check your animal out, they'll hold up the test results (on tests you've already paid for), for days.

We spent $1800 at ASEC for 12 hours of care and we only spent $288 at the other vet for 24 hours of care + meds + ultrasounds.
