The Scene – You can smell Pollo a la Brasa before you see it. The smoky aroma of roasting meat cuts through the usual city odors, luring diners to a no-frills, Formica-appointed shack that's often packed with customers during peak meal times. – – The Food – The folks at Pollo a la Brasa take rotisserie cooking very seriously. But it isn't just smoke that distinguishes these birds; they're also marinated in spices that imbue them with an aromatic tenderness. Plates come with salad and…
One of the best rotisserie chicken spots in L.A.

I read about this place in an L.A. Times article and decided to check it out. The actual restaurant isn't pretty but you aren't going there for aesthetics. You're going there to get some really good peruvian rotisserie chicken. And the prices are great! It's tough to beat $15 for a whole chicken with two sides and their spicy aji sauce.
The rotisserie itself is impressive and they use real wood to feed the oven which gives the chicken that extra flavor that only a wood fired oven can give. Combine that with the flavorful peruvian spices and the green aji sauce, you get a great tasting meal.
- Pros: Wood fired rotisserie chicken
- Cons: If you aren't down with the hood, then stay home.
