Editorial Review for Figaro – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Vermont Avenue's elite huddle at the bar, swapping screenwriting secrets over aperitifs, while diners squeeze into red banquettes. The Parisian fin-de-siècle decor is re-created with French antiques, cast-iron chandeliers and a zinc bar. The menu includes bistro standards such as garlic butter escargot, imported cheese platters and a grilled steak topped with Roquefort and peppercorn sauce--with a side of frites. Croissants, baguettes and pastries are baked fresh each morning in the adjoining bakery.

So, some friends and I decide to go to this place Wednesday night. It was packed so we sat at the bar. OMG! It was beautiful!! Like something you see in the movies!! We sat down and Walter the bartender, who is great to talk to told us about there happy hour, which had escargot, crab cakes and other yummy stuff. So we got some of that and just sat there and relaxed. We had 2 or 3 nice glasses of cab. We also split the cheese platter, and a nice mango salad. But this place is so beautiful a part from the bar they have this candle lit dining room Ahhh…… so beautiful. And, the lady from Grey’s anatomy, I can’t remember her name, the catty one with the brown hair, She was there too. So all around experience; GREAT! Now if only I could find a date to take me there for dinner, Humm.. excuse me, bartender??

Pros: It beautiful !!!

So I’m going to see James Taylor @ The Greek. (He was good) But this little place was great. 3 dollar beers on the happy hour, awesome fries and mini burger, Cab or merlot, my friends and I got tipsy enjoying there outside seating and had a great pre concert blast at the fig. It has a really cool bar on the inside. Zinc I think the guy said. But yeah cool place would love to come back for the happy hour again. ; )

Pros: Happy Hour !
