DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR SERVICE!. I placed an order online through their restaurant website, I received an e-mail confirmation telling me that my order had been placed and I was to expect a call from them to confirm my credit card information. After 50 minutes I called to check on my order and the girl on the phone said there may have been a problem with their fax because she doesn't have my order. After handing the phone off to a manager he basically accused me of not placing the order right, or with the wrong website. Even though I got a confirmation e-mail from them nearly an hour prior with the number I used to contact them, I was told I would have to place my order again. I kindly said "no thank you I'll order from somewhere else" for which he laughed and replied "Fine by me". RUDE!

too bad. wow disapointment,nice lookin place ,really looked forward to goin there, When i arrived i was clearly a tourist ,I was offered the patio in 85 degrees at 5 oclock by the rude fat guy runnin the place at the front.Ordered the calamri and the sea food pasta bottel of house merlot. the calamari good the pasta terrable the one large prawn was old mush head on left overs i set a side in fear of illness.The chell fish,clams and mussels were few and missing the meat on 1 or 2 and replaced w/a callamari ring .The chunk of small fish was what looked like left over stock makings dried and poched, the dish was a bust .The wine arrived w/a screw cap on it not the advetised vinyard on the menu,undrinkable. The bread was average the oil w/dried italian hearb dipping ,no balsamic,was poor. all in all a tourist slam joint .too bad probly was a nice joint at one time

Average Food. We haven't eaten here in a few years. Last night we were disappointed. It seems the food isn't as good as it use to be. My husband had the mushroom eggplant pasta and I had the mushroom linguini pasta. He said his wasn't that tasty and mine had very few mushrooms in it and was just mediocre. The service was poor. When the server brought the check, he excused his crummy service by complaining about big parties and servers being stretched. Wine ordered sat on the counter where we could see it (apparently the server didn't see it) and it arrived after waiting more than 10 minutes. When we finally told the owner; he brought it. He made a funny remark about it and later made another somewhat sarcastic remark, which indicated he didn't like me complaining. If that is his attitude, well then who needs to go there. And what is with the wine prices at $10 a glass for just ordinary white and red wine???? I don't think so. We won't be going back.

Good Pastas...for LA...without breaking the bank. Nice homey restaurant; Great selection of pastas - ask to cook it al dente and you will get it al dente; Arugula & Radicchio Salad says with Parmiggiano on the menu but came with Pecorino instead; Inside the restaurant it gets really, really dark, as in I can't see the food well dark...;very good service; $2.50 Valet parking on the back. 3 persons: 2 Appetizers, 2 pastas, 1 Entree, 1 Bottle of Chianti $130 w/tip.

Great lunch deal, pasta is super. Went here for lunch. The past was really good and they had some nicely priced deals for lunch. The patio seating was decent and all around it was a good experience.

inexpensive and amazing. This is my favorite place of all time... Plus valet is only $2.50... Try the Penne Gorgonzola (think it may be called Pomdero secco or something)

On Thursday nights starting around 8pm/8:30pm they have someone come around doing magic tricks (may sound cheesy but this guy it extremely good!!!)

So delicious, yet so inexpensive.. It's hard to find good italian food. Extremely difficult. However, a friend of mine turned me on to Il Capriccio and I am a now a full-on convert. It's the place to get great food for a reasonable price. The pasta is home made and everything always tastes fresh. Fantastic olive tapenade and bread. And I always tend to go with the lasagna which is a huge so I can always take the leftovers home for lunch the next day. I recommend this place to anyone who likes good food and might not want to throw down a huge chunk of cash.

rude host!!! Go to The Vermont across the street!!!. La Buca on Melrose was full so i had to pick a new italian restaurant for the evening, so i figured i would try this place. I called ahead and asked how long the wait was and he said half an hour. I showed up and the host was very cold and not glad to have customers there. He said " I can put your name on the list, but you better be here or your table is being given away" I thought to myself...where am i going to go? He was just RUDE!!! So i went across the street to The Vermont and had one of the best meals of my life!!! The food here may or may not be good, but as far as im concerned it doesnt matter!!! They have a corkage fee too, something ridiculous like 10$! Dont waste your time!!!

Easily the best Italian in LA. I l-o-v-e LOVE Il Capriccio! My fiance and I have eaten there almost once a month since our first date at Il Cap nearly two years ago. Super friendly and attentive staff and managers... and we love Mama Flora! Choose anything off the menu and you won't be disappointed. The red pepper-mozzarella terrine appetizer is super yummy and big enough for two (as are the entrees). Their specials are always awesome, and I would recommend ordering the pork tenderloin if it's on the board the night you visit. For dessert, skip the tiramisu and head straight to the cannoli or the ricotta cheesecake.... take it To Go if you're already over-stuffed from the generous portions of everything else. With a nice cup of coffee, the cannoli makes a pretty tasty breakfast the next day.

Excellent neighborhhod Italian restaurant!. I love this place. I've never had a dish I didn't completely enjoy. Be sure to bring your own wine, they don't have a liquor license right now. The Rigatoni Norcina and Rigatoni Antonio are my favorite standbys. Also, I always order the spaghetti and meatballs with pink sauce when it's available on the special menu. Be sure to make a reservation though, the restaurant is small, and fills up fast! A+!! Trust me, this place is terrific!
