friendly service, great authentic italian food, great place, great special pizza, great pizza atmosphere, not good italian food, absolutely delicious complimentary pizza rosa
This is the friendliest service you will find anywhere. Great food, amazing service.
I love this restaurant. It offers some delicious Italian food that everyone will surely enjoy.
food poisoning - be warned. I had a very bad experience here. I ate the linguini with clams and suffered a 24hr bout of seafood poisoning. do not eat here.
Italian Food ?.
I tried this place twice - once dining in, and once I ordered take out.
Both times the food was less than stellar.
There are much better places to experience Italian food in Los Feliz- say' Farfalla' or even some dishes at 'Little Doms'.
Sorry Palermos...just calling it like my taste buds scream it.

25 minutes for a slice of takeout pizza.
Walked into Palermos to order a slice of takeout pizza. Thought the guy said it would take 10 minutes when I asked him to repeat how long. 15 minutes later the slice still hadn't arrived. I asked an employee walking past who said, "If it's not on the counter it's not done." Waited a few more minutes and asked another person walking by who also responded quickly saying, "They'll bring it to the counter when it's ready."
The front lobby was crowded and I could never quite get up to the person who originally took the order but since I believed the other employees that the slice wasn't done I didn't push my way to the counter.
Finally, after 25 minutes, and after already having paid, I'd become disgusted and the crowd had thinned enough that I asked the person who took my order what was taking so long. He said "Oh, there you are!" with a big smile.
I never moved further than 10 feet from the cashier station.
I said it had been 25 minutes and I thought it was only supposed to be 10. A guy named Tony said "A slice only takes 2 minutes. You need to come up and remind us your still here every couple of minutes next time."
Are you kidding me??
Suffice it to say, there won't be a next time. I had asked 2 other employees. The whole time I was standing close enough to the counter, though it was constantly packed, that if I took a large step forward I could touch it.
I said, "You mean I have to remind you to actually bring out an order that has been placed when I don't know if it's finished?? Shouldn't you automatically bring it to the counter and say the order is ready?"
"You just need to remind us."
Having asked a couple of employees, I believe it's the establishment's responsibility to keep track of doing their job, not the customer's responsibility, especially after I was told twice that "it will come out when it was done."
If I hadn't already paid nearly a half hour before, I would've walked out without the pizza or paying. It infuriated me that this guy, Tony, said to "remind us next time."
Like I said Tony, there won't be a next time.
Great Italian delivery!. On a 'night in' this is definately the place to get great take out! They will basically deliver a date in a box, including chilled wine! Also, owners are wonderful and welcoming and will give you a discount if you order frequently!
Italian anyone?. Been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and never have I been disappointed. The owner always welcomes his customers with smiles and feeds them great food! If you want some good authentic Italian food, then look no further! Thanks Tony!
Bad service at palermo Ristorante in Los Feliz.
To all patrons even thinking of eating here;
I usually don't take time to write reviews and it takes a great deal to get me to do it..with that said I, along with 2 friends went to have breakfast this morning and ordered our food. My order was wrong and when I told the waitress she responded that "no, that's not sausage it's bacon!". Clearly I know the difference just from the appearance. I asked for a to go box so to give it to the homeless guy on the corner who uses Palermos bathroom and told the host what had happened. He appologized and asked if he could remake the order and I told him I didn't have the time (the original order took over 30 minutes to arrive) and my friends had already finished thier breakfast. After I paid, and yes she charged me for a wrong order, the host walked out with me and again appologized and said "well at least you didn't pay for it". I told him I did and his response was that he had asked her not to charge me since the order was wrong. I told him that not only was the service bad (not including him) but the waitress's attitude was bad. I highly recommend not going here. This is the second time this has happened to me in the past month at Palermos and it seems they don't care. I gave them the second chance and they failed me. There are many other local Los Feliz eateries that far surpass this place.
The Best Place I've been to. This by far has been the best place, not just the best italian food but the service was so good. I would recommend this to everyone. And the owner Tony is so nice, this was our first time going and we were leaving he told us to sit back down and when we went back the waitress came we dessert and said "Tony said 'you must have dessert and it's on the house.'" We will definately go back with out a doubt. And the prices are worth for what the BIG portions they give
