The original. Rumor has it that Sahag, the original founder and owner of Sahag's Basturma" in Hollywood, CA is opening another store in Pasadena, Ca called "House of Basturma." Early February is the grand opening of the store. I'm excited to eat the original, great-tasting basturma, maanek, and soujouk that was once present at every occasion at my Armenian friend Armen's house. Get your taste buds ready!

Best Sujuk and Basturma on this side of the planet. This place has the best sujuk sandwiches in probably all of US. In fact, they're so good, I could never have just one. They also have really good maane and (of course) basturma. The service is pretty friendly and fast. When I used to work in Hollywood, this is where my buddies and I went every Friday for lunch. My weekend didn't start til I had a sujuk sandwich at Sahag's.
