The Sunset Strip should definitely be on your itinerary if you're coming in from out of town. The bars and clubs are icons. The strip boasts some of the best outdoor billboards in the world, out-rivaled only by Times Square in NYC. The parking police will take your dime in an instant, so always park legally -- watch the signs posted VERY carefully. Towing isn't out of the realm of possibilities. Stop in at the Sunset Plaza for some fine boutique shopping or an upscale meal. Hotels along the way are unique and architecturally amazing. Stop for all that or just drive down the Strip to experience it in a blur on your way to Beverly Hills.
