Located along Franklin Avenue's block-long stretch of cool (Bourgeois Pig coffeehouse and Birds cafe are neighbors), this laidback shop is a pack-rat paradise of of used books and records. Slackers, shoegazers and other boho types flock here for the floor-to-ceiling selection of dog-eared classics (everything from "Wuthering Heights" to "On the Road"), anthropology textbooks, literature, poetry and other obscure tomes. There's an out-of-print book that I read in college about 10 years ago, and loved, but I'd lost my copy. I'd looked for it every time I'd been in a used book store since then, with no luck.
But I found it at Counterpoint.
