HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

IF YOU WANT ENTITLED RACIST ASIAN ATTITUDE, MEDIOCRE FOOD, LOUSY LOUSY SERVICE AND PAY HIGH PRICES FOR IT, RUN DON'T WALK TO THE PINK PEPPER. DELIVERY IS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE, NOTHING IS EASY WITH THIS GROUP. IF YOU WANT SAUTEED AGGRAVATION AND PANANG ATTITUDE WITH MORE THAN A SPRINKLE OF RACIST ATTITUDE THIS IS YOUR PLACE. 1 IS TOO HIGH A RATING THEY SHOULD OFFER NEGATIVE 5, THAT WOULD BE ABOUT RIGHT.

Bad place for Good service

Nothing about this restaurant is good except the exits. I have been to Pink Peppers one other time and the Service was LOUSY but me being the idiot that I am decided to give it a second chance. What a mistake. Not only did I go but I went with 4 other guests, 3 of which happened to be African American like myself. We arrived at 1:15pm and did not eat until 1:45pm. WTH!! Nobody every came to our table to ask us what we wanted. We had to flag down random waitresses just to give our order and then it gets worse. After ordering our food our last guest arrived and ordered and when the food finally arrived 40 minutes later HE got served before us!! HUH? I complained and got no apology. The only thing we received was an excuse that they had waitresses on the inside and that they thought we were waiting on someone else. Well if that's true then ask us don't just ASSume. I am not above saying I believe it was racial because when white patrons came into the restaurant and before their butts hit the chair the waitresses immediately ran over and asked them what they wanted to order. This happened several times during our Hour long ordeal that white patrons would come in and be seated and served quickly. Hmmmm makes me wonder. Anyway I am going to tell everyone I know to boycott this restaurant. It may not make a huge difference in their sales but I will do my best to spread the word. Pass it on!
BTW...they attempted to assauge the Intention infliction fo emotional distress by offering a 20% discount on the bill. We reluctantly accepted.....it should have been free!!!
- Pros: Food is subpar just like its service
- Cons: Service, Service, Service!
best thai

Some friends and I stumbled upon this place back in 2004 when I was in LA; I'd never had Thai food, and this was a great first time- I don't remember the names of the dishes we had, but the spicy curry seafood dish was my favorite. I'm planning a trip out west and can't wait to go back.
Dine in, take out, or delivery... Pink Pepper rocks

This was possibly the first Thai food I had when I moved to LA, more than 13 years ago. Since then I have tried many other Thai joints around the city, and I have to say that while a few may come close to being as good, Pink Pepper is my favorite Thai food in the city. I used to go so much that they knew me by name, now there have been some staffing changes and I am unfamiliar to the newer people, plus I live on the other side of town so I go much less often. They do some things exceptionally well, and the rest of the menu is still better than most.
Personal favorites include:
Prik King
Spicy beef salad
Satay
Roasted Chili and cashew nut
Garlic and pepper
Tom yum
Crying tiger
BBQ ribs
ALL are top notch.
Spiciness varies toward the mild side (if you like spicy, don't be concerned about ordering yours "spicy" or "hot." If you really like the heat you should get the chili tray to bring the heat.
Staff has always been friendly to me, no complaints here.
Outstanding, flavorful food
Dine in, take out, or delivery... Pink Pepper rocks
- Pros: Taste, ambiance, free parking...
- Cons: none
INSECT IN THE FOOD
by vtunkel at Citysearch
My friend found a cooked ROLY-POLY (a small INSECT that rolls up into a ball) at the bottom of his spicy noodle dish. When he POLITELY and discretely pointed this out to one of the staff, the person took his dish in back, threw out the roly-poly, and brought the dish back out, now insect-free.
They then tried to convince my friend that what he saw on his plate was in fact a piece of "Thai spice". When my friend asked them to show him the spice in question, the staff brought out random green basil buds and another unidentifiable piece of black gunk. When the manager came out, rather than acknowledging and apologizing for their mistake, he VERY rudely insisted that there was never an insect in the first place.
After being confronted repeatedly, the manager then accused us of trying to get free food, although my boyfriend and I have eaten there frequently and have even ordered delivery to our apartment. I ended up paying for half of our bill, even though I did not finish most of my food out of disgust. A simple apology from the manager would have gone a long way towards me coming back there again. Guess who just lost a regular customer! Worst customer service I have ever had in my life. Eat here at your own risk!
- Pros: Great tasting food
- Cons: WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
