friendly staff, like place, impeccable service, full package, best pad thai, friendly speaking, fresh memories
I like the place..
Having been on several occasions we can recommend Pimai. This restaurant is very relaxing, the décor adds to it with candles and running water for good Feng Shui.
The prices do vary from average on upwards, the food has always been delicious and fresh. We have had both Beer and Wine there. The staff are friendly & attentive. They have plenty of easy parking out front.
All things delicious and inexpensive. Everything I have had at Pimai was excellent. The Tom Kai Gai is one of the best I have had stateside - it is wonderfully spicy (so be mindful if you aren't into the spice). The atmosphere is cute and chic and the service attentive. Great casual date spot.
Excellent food for cheap. Great pineapple fried rice. The chicken sate is also fabulous. Their Thai iced-tea is perfect, not too sweet not too strong. Service is prompt and attentive. The service is also very accommodating. Once they made a mistake on a to-go order and we didn't find out the problem until we got home. The corrected the mistake and delivered and wouldn't accept payment or tip. Go!
Give this establishment your money..
This place is a gem. Impeccable service, friendly staff, and family owned and operated. I've eaten there once. My wifes parents were visiting from Thailand we decided to try a new place we had not been. We brought our three month old with us and there was only one other patron in the restaurant. There were only about forty seats or so and it was very intimate. As soon as we opened the door they noticed our baby girl and moved the tables about to accomodate her chair into the booth. Our server spoke Thai and English fluently and was very attentive, and friendly speaking at length with my wife and her parents answering any questions they had even ones not related to the restaurant. They had a tiny bar with a full selection of spirits wines and beers. The decor was modern, classy, and sophisticated, but not intimidating. It is the type of place where you would stop in just to see how the owners are doing and bring your friends to. The menu was as classy as the entire restaurant, not cheap, it had it's own jacket and a laundry list of items. We ordered the Pad Thai. The best Pad Thai I've had in L.A. Noodles were cooked to perfection the perfect amount of Tamarind sauce with the usual accompaniments. The masuman Curry was phenominal and served with brown and white rice. I should have written this when the memories were fresh but I forgot some of the other items we ordered, but they were all phenomenal with the exception of the crab cake. That was the one thing I thought could have had a little more love added to it, but I can forgive that.
The plating presentation on all the dishes was second to none. Artistic as they were functional. The plates were also nice to look at and the silverware was heavy (a sign of a good restaurant). A lot of pickup orders were made while we dined, but this place truly deserves to be packed on a daily basis. Pimai gives patrons the full package of food and service. Support them help them grow please!
