cold retirement center dining hall, pretty good price, great seasoning, really good clear broth, really likes green hot sauce, great tender chicken, great chicken soup

This place is a hidden gem in a somewhat run down mini mall just east of the 101 Freeway. Seafood is the specialty and it's good, but more expensive than you'd expect. The tres colores ceviche is a great sampler and can be easily shared by two people.
Great Sopa a la Minuta con pollo. This recently renovated restaurant (bright, cheery red tables and chairs) offers a great chicken soup. A really good clear broth with great seasoning and tender chicken. It comes with spaghetti noodles which is novel to me. My girlfriend really likes the green HOT sauce that comes with the (lame Von's) bread. The interior is an improvement over the old booths. It's not a date place, but it's a pleasant interior. (We got take-out because we live nearby.)
A very biased place to eat!!!.
My friend and I went into this restaurant to first, use the lady's room then purchase food. The employees there told us to first buy food before using the facilities. My friend who is Vietnamese was then told to go next door to the Thai restaurant. This employee then further insulted us by his insistant attitude to push us to go to a more Asian type cuisine. These people did not want our business and continually asserted, "This is a Peruvian restaurant, Thai food is next door!"
It is sad that people like this are allowed to operate a public business in a city where diverse individuals are the norm. I felt insulted and would not want another person to experience this type of degrading and biased behavior.
Good bargain. I've been to a few Peruvian places and usually judge them on their Lomo Saltado - this place does it right. This place is priced the same as all other restaurants in the area and the price is pretty good. Their food is fresh and offers a great bargain. I recommend getting the food to go, ambience there leaves you wanting more.
Awful!. This place was simply awful. The atmosphere resembled that of a retirement center dining hall - cold and sterile with NO decor, and the food was like a mixture of every ethnic dish combined. French fries sauteed with rice, squid, cod, and shrimp in a bland sauce. We were served Von's baguette to start and it took 15 minutes to even get a drink - and we were the only people in the WHOLE PLACE!
