The Scene – Just because karaoke's popular, doesn't mean everyone has to stick to Top 40 songs of yesterday and today. Nestled in the Gower Gulch shopping center, an offbeat crowd of wishful singers takes over this Japanese restaurant at night. Friends take turns on the small stage, belting out tunes by Guns 'N Roses, Pat Benatar, Roxy Music and other favorites. Those who are in observation mode can escape the rowdiness by sitting at the bar. A glass wall separates the two rooms, so everyone can enjoy a great view of the performances. Just try and remember how low those barstools…
Worst restaurant food I've ever had in L.A.
by ACFinLA at Citysearch
I can honestly say that what I had here was the worst food I've ever ordered in any L.A. restaurant. I ordered chow mein noodles with tofu and got Ramen noodles, the kind you buy for a quarter at the grocery store. The food was cold and didn't taste good at all. My friend ordered egg rolls, and they were still frozen in the middle! On top of that, the restaurant smelled like a locker room at a gym. I wouldn't eat here again if they paid me to.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Bad food, foul smelling restaurant
The worst karaoke club in Los Angeles
by nipponmaru at Citysearch
For being a regular costumer, this bar has a very bad costumer service.I've been mistreated several times as a karaoke costumer....the karaoke dj's are capable to embarass you by making your song skip and mess up the lyrics. Not only once but a lot of times. If you complain to the owner....... negative. They just ignore you.
restrooms ? check it out.
So i strongly suggest......... not this place
- Pros: thumbs down
- Cons: thumbs down
amazing sushi chef
by gcookies at Citysearch
I am so impressed with this sushi chef's pleasant attitude. His sushi is beautiful, and tasty- I am not always comfortable with sushi, but his recommendations are on the money and I trust anything he offers.
I don't like Karaoke- so I try to avoid that scene. To me, this place is for the sushi.
- Pros: wonderful sushi chef
- Cons: karaoke
